If, as I suspect, they're mainly people that only joined the party post-2015 in a bid to push their far-left sectional agendas and turn Labour into an electoral irrelevance then the party's well rid of them.

The grifters are out in force. Again.

By far-left are you talking socialist?

I'm talking about self-styled revolutionary socialists, Communists, Marxists, anarchists, smash the system 6th formers, and people that are obsessed with a single cause and have zero interest in compromise or the bigger picture.

And isn't that sad indictment of this cuntry and the Labour movement?

It really is mate. Heartbreaking that a genuine decent man was stopped by pure evil and greed.

That said, it's done now and as long as it hangs over Labour they will struggle not just to overthrow the tories but rebuild the party itself.

I just hope he gives a big ‘hold your nose and vote Labour’ message before the next election. I’m sure he will, anything else will be pretty sad for anybody desperate to get the Tories out.

It's probably better he didn't talk about noses to be honest. It will only get twisted.

Like I said, it would be best if he gave up being an MP and stuck to supporting the oppressed. Too much of a shadow is cast. Johnson was only wanking on about him about 5 weeks ago in parliament.

It needs to be a fresh approach and somehow reunite the far left with Labour.

Do you think they number more than the amount of Social Democrats / Democratic Socialists that joined having seen a a major party putting forward broadly centre left policies for the first time in their life?

As the ex democratically elected leader of the Labour Party Corbyn should continue voicing his opinions for as long as he god damn likes. He left the Labour party in excellent financial health and with a huge membership of people wanting a fairer and more just society.

Even the left. You see what I'm saying.

I do, but it's important because Jack the Sipper's post for example deliverately blurs the lines to essentially dismiss everyone on the left who joined/rejoined the party because they finally saw some hope. People young and old, people from all backgrounds, some new to politics some rejuvenating their interest.

The number of people who identify with the actual far left and spend their days either asking stupid questions in council meetings, or writing dimwitted drivel on Twitter, make up a tiny percentage of that number. And it's offensive to suggest otherwise (I'm not suggesting you are, Stig).

Tbh it wasn't even Sippers post that made me say it. I'm sick of the tories knowing they always have that in their back-pockets to throw at Labour and get the 'red wall' up in arms. Like this from Truss. Ok she doesn't mention Corbyn but it's that same message about patriotism and Britain being great. Obviously it won't go away, it's just an opinion that Corbyn removing himself from parliament might help close that chapter. And yes, as has been said,. it's  sad indictment of politics and society i this country but it's just the way it is.

But surely the answer is to convince people that Britain owning its own assets is as patriotic as you can get.

Its not a chapter that needs closing it's a truth book that needs to be continually read, the alternative of private ownership has never looked more ludicrous and god help us this winter when people are passing away through the cold.
