Just seen The Last Leg's discussion of the Batley & Spen result. Adam Hills said he hopes George Galloway will now pack his hat and bag and go and sell a monorail to Shelbyville.

Can't say fairer than that.

The bird said they had John Barnes on, not to even talk to him just sing?

Was she pissed?

Interesting article that, not sure what to make of it or what the conclusions are tbh but I didn't know that so much of last century's working class were so pro tory.

Wor Jessie with another puff piece from her mates in The Times. Thankfully behind a paywall but some highlights can be gleaned.

Oooh, a makeover and photo shoot.

Fuck you, Angela. I can lose weight too. And I’ve got a book coming out.

Bad news Jessie, I’ve bought Ed Miliband’s book but I won’t be buying yours.

While most of us gained weight during lockdown, Jess Phillips lost three stone. “I’m still on a strict 1,000 calories a day in the week, but at the weekend I do drink and eat bread.” While many faltered in their fine intentions to write a book during Covid, Phillips, often banging out 6,000 words per afternoon (“I find it quite therapeutic, especially if I’m cross about something”), managed two.

Yeah, Jessie. Maybe if you’d had some decent policies and didn’t come across as a complete twat, the substantial number of women in the Labour membership would have voted for you.

Fucking chancer. And then there is this. The only people you appeal to are the equivalent of weasels that have rolled in their own shit.

It’s more nuanced than this.

The vote to get rid of some overtly hostile groups, park your beliefs for a second, will go ahead, but because of shenanigans I’ve been hinting at for a while it’s not guaranteed to pass.

It’s just the end of a pathetic game of one upmanship, with the outcome not known yet.

The Kinnock comparisons are not unwarranted, he might, just, have enough to pull it off.

Spit it out then. If you can subtly drop your Bentley car keys into a photo you can hint a bit harder here.

It’s about five or so pages back.

Its about representation at decision level which can, and has been, manipulated.

Views on this are obviously divisive, but anybody claiming innocence, purity, or ownership is living in an echo chamber, on both sides.

I have never mentioned any cars on here, to my knowledge, no idea where this has come from.

Arsed going back for that. Just say it.

There’s a back door way of stuffing board rooms at union and NEC level which isn’t technically wrong, but legally dubious.

’The left’ have thrown themselves in to this with gusto and is being privately funded from weird sources.

Dont know how it falls out, but Unison has already been ‘taken’ with the NEC looking like it might as well.

Itll end up in court for potentially years and it’s wholly fucking stupid and performative.

Yeah this all sounds completely believable sadly.
