Yeah, dragged him all over the place, but ‘alas’ our cunt in chief blustered and lies throughout, one lie was discounted ten minutes earlier in the session yet he still brazened it out again.

Hoyle is fucking pointless.

Thats why the tories wanted Bercow gone, because he called out bollocks on both sides. Hoyle is too scared of being accused of reality bias that he's going completely the other way and allowing bullshit week after week.

We've got a few gobby nobheads like that in our place.  It seems to be a Unite thing: shouting is prioritised over actually achieving stuff for the members.

Could is doing s lot of lifting there.

I also hate when they quote "a Labour M.P." but don't name them. From all sides either have the courage to add your name or shut up.

I get a journalist has the right to protect their source but all this briefing off the record pissed me off, again from all sides of the political spectrum. "A source from inside Downing Street" fuck off.

I think the paper work is sufficient to enable the argument, looks bad.

As, does this...

CHEERS FOR THE HELP: Esther Webber also hears Labour has landed on a new way to make its activists feel motivated ahead of the local elections: reminding them they will soon be out of a job. The entirety of the community organizing unit received written confirmation yesterday that their fixed-term contracts will come to an end in May. One Labour official said: “It’s short-sighted and cruel to get rid of the community organising unit. The party isn’t going to win elections with overpaid executives talking bollocks in Southside.”’

No idea what this means or why, but doesn’t sound ‘proactive’.

It has been a busy few days in the ‘fuck it, we don’t need an opposition or unions that fight for their members interests, their only preoccupation should be with internal battles’

On the journos thing yeah, but it’s a wire we have to walk sadly as lots are fearful of reproach, others spinning a little yarn so caveat emptor.

I think we need anonymity protections to enable the truth to see light, but obviously like you say it’s frustrating and often duplicitous.

I caught it live (the BBC News app gave it the big sell by push notification) and thought he was pretty weak at PMQ’s. The ammunition is there, he should be fucking growling these things at Johnson. ‘Forensically’ taking him apart isn’t gonna make anyone vote for us based off the 10 second snippet that’ll make the 6 o’clock news.

Yeah, he's presumably already won over Volvo nonce with his sensible and forensic routine.

He needs to be a cunt now.

I haven't seen today's PMQ but from the previous comments it appears at least Starmer's helpers are starting to realise that humour is the best way to get a spot on the news.

I found it a bit odd. He was OK but why not mention Cameron and torys taking money from the NHS? Why not mention the alleged 20 million Cameron would have made from our NHS?  Why didn't he thump the point home that this money is NHS money and nurses have just been offered a poxy 1% pay rise? Why didn't he smash on about whilst clapping nurses tories were looking to make millions for themselves?

You heard the tories all summer repeat " NHS track and trace' when it wasn't the NHS track and trace.  They know how to pull the levers and give the soundbite, even if it's bullshit.

I am suspicious of polls in general and especially YouGov because I was signed up to doing polls with them a while ago, and they stopped sending me political polling questionnaires when I kept saying I would vote for Labour.

However the pattern across several polling companies seems to be in the direction of Labour losing support not just to the Tories but also a little to the Lib Dems and even more so to the Greens. I suspect that is younger people not liking what they’re seeing, not to mention Labour supporters from the left feeling unwanted. Starmer’s Labour look directionless.

The labour party really needed a Captain Wilson/John le Mesieur type character to tap Starmer on the shoulder and whisper quietly 'do you think that's wise sir?" when the Labour leadership bowed down to the swivel eyed looney twitter mob who wanted the socialist former leader suspended from the party that day. Its gone oh so predictably tits up ever since.

I'm not sure the Corbyn / Purge of the Left will be losing him massive numbers , but it may be losing some of the more engaged members of the party so reflecting on not getting the party pushed with the public.

I still think the main problem is Starmer is fairly dull and while I just look at Johnson and see a cunt , a lot of people seem to like him. My mate ( who is not a leftie by a long chalk ) calls Starmer 'Gordon Brittas '

Starmer was edging ahead in the polls until that fateful day he decided to act the macho man and suspended Corbain. I'd think labour needed every vote it can muster and eas not in a strong enough position to piss off 400;000 members.

I know people who since that day  have said Starmer can go fuck himself.

The real test for members will be how many decide not to actively campaign next time there’s a GE. The only reason I’ve been out this week is that two of my friends are the ones on the leaflets standing for the council. When there’s a GE and there’s door knocking involved, I can easily see plenty not bothering. It’s hard to put forward a case for Starmer to be PM now. The main thing he’s got going for himself is the fact that he’s not Boris Johnson.

Yeah, I'm really disengaged, mainly because the biggest thing down here is the Mayoral election which the Tories have fucked up to insane degree and Sidiq will walk.

The locals where I'd work normally are pretty much sewn up, so it's about motivation, and the only motivation I really have at the minute is that I really hate these fucking cunts and will do anything to see them off so will go out and talk about them, sadly, not about 'us'.
