"Newest polling"  are the first two words of the sugar coated paragraph that paints all things Starmer some kind of wonderful and all things Corbyn/Socialist some kind of horror.

I suppose it would be futile for the author of this nonsense to produce the polls he talks about?

Heres one of my own.

I don't reckon Twitter and newspaper comments are representative tbankfulky, or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

I think the Tories and republicans are losing their base though and they're replenishing their ranks with racist simpletons, one has to hope that's not enough to keep winning elections, I genuinely don't think it is, not if you consider the views of most young people these days, they've never been more liberal.

What I hate about these lot above though  is they tend to be shithouses. If you were a Muslim and came up to one with a camera and microphone and said tell me why you hate me they'd deny theyd ever said anything of the sort.

God why do you hate Twitter? It's far more democratic than any other form of media. It's a straight them to you or you to them. Greta to Trump crack on.

Newest polling showing Starmer increasing his lead over Johnson, Labour closing the lead the Tories have. Most interesting thing to take from that is that Labour now has a leader more popular than the party. Hopefully that drags the party into more a more electable position. No matter whether you like him or not, Corbyn was once breaking records for how badly he was doing on the front. Hopefully Flock of Seagulls can put Labour into a position to get into a government or a coalition when the time comes.

"Newest polling"

I'm waiting, surprised you didnt put the polls in your post, but there again.

Hold on, I’m either ‘searching the Internet for polls’ or I’m lying. You can’t have it both ways. Decide which one makes me the biggest cunt and go with that.

Back in the real world, following the UK’s largest poll aggregator, which periodically releases polls direct to your eyes, saves you from having to do any searching.

Anyway, here is the imaginary YouGov polling that I made up. You’ve got to give me credit for creating a Twitter account 12 years ago just in case I needed cover for my lies on a forum I wasn’t yet a part of.

Utter rubbish. He's hardly made a dent Numero although I do tip my cap to your good self for coming back to face the music. He should be 20 points clear, and them polls are taken after the exam fiasco!! Terrible.

He has been pushing the incompetence angle a lot. Trying to go for the tactic of the ‘sleaze’ type approach that Blair used. Might be a bit early for any lasting impact though.

On this, I don't think so. The Tory sleaze stories started with David Mellor in 1992 when John Smith was the newly installed Labour leader. It was cumulative as year on year the scandals kept racking up and the alternative started looking much more attractive. The scandals also got the right wing press onside with Blair and as bitter a taste as that leaves it helped make the landslide in '97 so big.

These horse-fucking cunts in power now are very much there for the taking. Whether there's much of a country left to rule post-Brexit is more of a worry.

The powerful like the world they are creating, why would ‘they’ turn on them.

All the pieces are falling in to place, a one party state, ‘liberalised’ economy post Brexit, a symbiotic/parasitic media and a population inundated with confused messaging that have never been taught critical thinking.

I’d say the ‘elites’ are more than happy that their investments will mature and they’ll live a wonderful life unchallenged apart from by ‘fringe, hard-left, lunatics’ like Starmer.

One hand is washing the other clean here and it is fucking bleak.

I'm not suggesting that they will turn on them, or at least willingly. Besides which I don't think the papers are half as important now as they were then. I was just trying to illustrate the point that it's never to early to go in on the governments weakest traits.

We're going to be in such a shitshow in the next few years with Brexit and the fallout from Covid it makes sense for Starmer to position himself as the competent, serious alternative and to just keep chipping away.

I think the main thing in Labour's favour is that people will be just sick to death of the Tories. Johnson or no Johnson.

Another Corbynite who won't get on board. They should just start another party etc

I got the email from Starmer yesterday, read the piece In the guardian where he condemned the government, saw/heard Angela Rayner front and centre on BBC Breakfast, Good Morning Britain, Today, saw interviews on the BBC from Starmer and various others and seen numerous ponderous, trite social media post about ruining a generation.

If people failed to see any of that then I would argue that’s on them not engaging, not that they haven’t condemned at every opportunity on the education point.

FFS if the narrative is going to be he doesn’t shout enough and people feign deafness we’re fucked.

Never really know what Gnasher is on about to be honest. I've seen him like posts and dislike posts that said pretty much the same thing.

I dont think so. Wrong person. I've never negged a post in my life, even as a member.

I just do not agree with you about twitter, yes there is a lot of dross but the plus sides far outweigh the negative in my eyes. Everyone to their own i suppose.
