Brexit and then voting for a Tory majority that's put the NHS up for sale, what's exactly the point of Labour tweeting support when the public doesn't really care about ?

Some of the responses under his tweet, fuck me. "They're paid enough already" etc.

That being said, Twitter is soul aids anyway, dunno why anyone is arsed who says what on it. Anything posted just makes everyone's head explode.

The hatchet job should have been by Starmer on Cummings.  It was the Cummings fiasco which pushed Starmer ahead in that poll.  I worry about his political instincts, he should have gone all in on Cummings.

I’d have worried about his political instincts if he did almost any of the stuff people have wanted from him recently.

Also, what’s this ‘he who tweets first’ stuff I’m seeing. Is that how we judge leadership now? Labour have been banging on about supporting NHS staff with pay rises for weeks and weeks and weeks.

I dunno, I’m clearly at a disconnect with what some people want.

Don't follow twitter so I'm not up on the latest BS.  Alas, my brain still works at printed press speeds.

Maybe you missed this essay he wrote for the Grun this week?

Can’t be easy criticising everything and reading everything at the same time, some things will be, obviously, overlooked.

Oh. Let me make it clearer then. I completely disagree with your post about political instincts and attacking Cummings. It would achieve absolutely fuck all. I don’t want him doing ineffective stuff. If he was doing the things a number of people here have wanted - basically going on the attack - then he’d gain nothing and damage his own electability with those who voted for this shit. In short, I’d question his political instincts if he was doing what some here want.

OK, well that's cleared that up then.

He has got to have an opinion on something eventually , he cant just fly under the radar trying not to upset anybody other than socialists for ever.

I was always afraid that he was going to be too much of a technocrat.  I don't think he is hiding though, its almost as though his course over-rationalized.

Here you are, here’s his ten promises...

On his website which is accessible to all.

https://keirstarmer.com/plans/10-pledges/

I’m not having a go at you SR, but this pretence that’s nothing is being done is part of the problem that he faces, and Corbyn faced, the powers that be are not interested in promoting it as it’ll shatter their cosy existence.

It was a fight then, it’s a fight now, but it’ll never be won if every cunt is throwing haymakers at the perceived ‘enemy’.

Yes, I’m aware of the of the ‘Corbynites’ response.

The twitification of democracy is pathetic.

That woman off the left bible i mentioned waa saying something like 'it comes to something when Piers Morgan is more of an opposition than Starmer'.

That's what you're up against.

I'd submit that posting shit on twitter to appeal to an echo chamber is easier than building a party infrastructure that can appeal to a nation, the vast bulk of which are NOT the labour membership, let alone a faction of that membership.

Learn, adapt, overcome.

If ‘we’ don’t know this shit, and are not using this shit, by now, we deserve to be confined to history.

It’s piss easy to set up bot farm's, simple message ‘Alex has lied’ send it over and over and over and over until it seeps in.

It’s not witchcraft, it’s part and parcel of modern campaigning, if we object or not, and ‘we’ can’t change a thing until we have the power to. Fight fire with fire, and we have a fucking load of fire, we’re just to passive too use it.

It’s fucking mind-boggling that the doffing cunts in the UK are still willing to vote for them. I note Patel is teeing up the dinghy asylum seekers to be the next round of scapegoats for all our ills. And the doffers will doff.

We can go round and round about this forever yet the fact is that the previous Labour administration has given Johnson an 80 seat headstart. That'll take 2 terms to overturn, several more if it was someone anointed by team Corbyn. So to close a gap to around 6 points (taking into account the margin of error) after being 25ish behind is a pretty good performance, especially when we're in unprecedented times and there's very little scope to politic.

A handful of people, in the scheme of things, are making a lot of noise and sound like the jilted lover. It's pretty embarrassing.

No amount of bickering on here will change the fact that we get exactly the sort of government that the wealthy and powerful want us to have. I dont know if I'll be arsed voting again because until we change our voting system and media ownership rules, I know my vote will count for fuck all - only a different flavour of the same shit.

When Red Ed decided not to contest the Tories claim that Lab were responsible for the Global Crash on 2008 he gave the Tories a winning weapon they've been able to use for the last 3 elections

I'm concerned that Keir is doing something similar with the corruption, nepotism and incompetence displayed on a daily basis by this Govt

I'd like to seem him more pro-active and hammer them all day every day until it becomes a fact in the consciousness of the great British public that Tory=Crook and Tory=Shit etc

It's obviously very good that he is now polling ahead of the fat cunt but it is concerning that so many seem happy to vote for the filthy bastards

No offence towards you, mate, but I hate this sort of nihilst shit

How do you think we're ever going to change our voting system and media ownership rules if people who oppose them stop voting?

They're not going to magically evaporate in a cloud of fucking fairy dust

They need to be fought against and peoples votes are the strongest weapons
