Other than having a rolodex full of cunts , nothing out of the ordinary in LFI terms about Chinn it would appear. Starmer probably more bothered , if at all, about how his £500k donations to Blair looked.

'By his own admission, he “hated” being forced to sell himself to the membership.'

If that’s true you’d think he wouldn’t have bothered with the A3 posters of himself that got sent to members!

The UK of Republicans and Democrats with no party that truly represents the people. Grim days ahead.

Excellent read, that; depressing as fuck, mind.

That was a really strange statement from him and quite worrying. It adds to the impression that he doesn’t have any deep political convictions.

If you have sincerely held beliefs and are passionate about putting them into action, promoting them to people you need to win over should be something you find exciting and invigorating.

The 'demise' of Trade Unions (a deliberate tactic from the tories to starve the movement and Labour Party of funds) has led to fewer and fewer Labour MPs now coming from that background. The 'firebrands' and people steeped in the working class person's way of life are now almost non existent. I could barely identify an MP based on their party as they mostly look the same as they are largely from the same backgrounds. You used to be able to spot the 'slimy tory' a mile off but they could be from any party now.

Had to chuckle at the last paragraph though, “does he want want to return to the bad old days of Blairism” mmmm... you mean returning to the days when they actually won elections ? surely even the author must realise how ridiculous that sounds.

Doesn't Starmer come from a very modest background? Obviously he made a success of himself, and is therefore the devil incarnate, but I don't think he can be accused of not knowing what it's like for "normal" people.

Went to a state school, unlike Corbyn, Seamus Milne and Jon Lansman.

None of this should be an issue anyway, Atlee and Benn were to the manor born, but it's quite bizarre that this narrative has been created around him just because he's got a quiff and isn't Jeremy corbyn.

This kind of stuff jumped the shark when I saw someone on Twitter call Gordon Brown a Blairite. These words have no meaning.

The bad old days of a Labour Party with a hard-on for illegal wars, NHS privatisation, authoritarianism and twatting the trade unions; a Labour Party that worked for the right-wing media and fucked the working classes over.

Blairism will not win the next election.  Fucksake, Blairite bastards cost us the 2017 election and people are dying right now as a result.

Thank god you didn’t vote for them. I mean. You’ve had blood on your hands (is this how it’s done, I’ve not had much practice)

Out of interest, is that your honest, full appraisal of what Labour was during the Blair years?
