Grandma’s Hands

Stone cold classics.

Yes, I had an album I got from Probe years ago, it was a best of, loads of good tracks on it too all about 2/3 minutes, Grandma's hands a great track, there was one where a gun goes off at the end, suicide or something,

The soul thread was bumped yesterday for Bill.

While we're here though, it's worth digging a bit deeper than the four or five songs that are always played, his albums were loaded with amazing songs.

He's right up there with Mick Hucknall for me.

One day Mick Hucknall might have been able to tie up Bill Withers' shoes. Sadly for him, Mick never got the chance.

Not a big fan of his take on No Diggity.

I wonder if Will Smith was credited on his cover of Just The Two Of Us? Bill Withers singing when Will Smith rapped? Mick Hucknall would be tripping over his shoelaces.

I’ve got a bootleg of a private gig he gave to his three pet cats in 1975 of totally unreleased material.

It’s clearly his best work but people just don’t realise.
