Most of the subjects we post about have, at one time or another, been previously covered. For example, we’ve just had British and American sitcom tournaments. Sitcoms have been discussed numerous times before.

With regard to the thread you linked to, it was started 12 years ago and hasn’t been posted in for more than half a decade. Plenty of posters have come and gone since then.

I’ll do a new, bigger and better tournament. If people want to participate, they will, if not, there are plenty of other threads to post in, call each other cunts, etc.

That said, suggestions for other tournaments are welcome.

No George Gently? The John Hannah version of Rebus but not the Ken Stott one?

What kind of gimp does a Top 5 TV detectives thread then a Greatest TV Detective poll??

Probably had the poll idea first but couldn't be arsed doing the graft to remember some famous detectives, so got you lot to do do it for him.

I considered George Gently. Can’t have them all, though.

Thought it best to stick to one portrayal per character. Only watched Hannah as Rebus but I’m happy to have Stott instead.
