The Witches is boss. The film is very good, too.

A remake is underway you’ll be sad to hear:

A new film adaptation co-written and directed by Robert Zemeckis is to be released in 2020. The adaptation takes place in Alabama during the 1960s and the protagonist is a black American boy.

3: Danny champion of the world.

Twits for me looking back, but Danny The Champion of the World was so good I want to read it again now.

What a writer.

I've never read that. I don't recall any big budget movie adaptations for it either, which you'd think there would be as many other Dahl Books have been made into films.

There is a Danny, the Champion of the World film, made in 1989 featuring Jeremy Irons and his son, Samuel.

I've never seen. Mustn't have been much good as Matilda, Willy Wonka, The Witches are well known.

I’ve not seen it but recall my younger brother liking it as a kid. If you do decide to watch it and think it’s shit, let me know and I’ll call him a cunt from you.
