If you place an order for, say, two or three weeks time, can you alter your order nearer the time?

I would imagine it's going to get altered for you nearer the time so I wouldn't lose any sleep over that.

I agree but don't judge people until you know about them.

I should have added a vital worker. The rest are acting like cunts, they might not realise it or mean to but until the system is unclogged they should stop.

It doesn't help that most old folks have no fucking idea how to shop online, added to the fact they only deal in cash.

I don't have a car and have a five year old child with fever and cough. I always shop for groceries by online delivery, in any event.

Fair enough.

I've got 2 people in their 80's i who i am trying to shop for, 1 is 240 miles from me and the other is blind. I cant get any slots due to selfish cunts that are well able to go and do their own as before.

My Nan didn’t trust banks. Used to keep her money under the floorboards in her bedroom.

It's very common, even my parents who are early 60's think if they put any bank details online they'll immediately be robbed.

In my opinion, the vast majority of people on here, well, certainly regulars, don’t come across as selfish, so I’m sure they will only be ordering online if they need to.

I fully understand. I was trying to order for my mother (83) in Ireland. But she's more resourceful than me, called up her local supermarket (from which she'd frequently ordered in the past), and managed to guilt trip them into a same day delivery (products specified on phone). And she complained to me that the totally hassled girl wasn't very friendly...

Lets hope so. Its no good going on about wanting to protect the at risk and then making it even more difficult for them to eat.
