Sketch show, not a sitcom. It was also, undeniably, very funny.

Now this is real amnesty. It's that dreadfully bad, that it's actually worth watching just see how low budget it really was.

How they managed to stretch it to two series is one of great mysteries of the 20th century.

Game On deserves a shout, it was fucking brilliant*

*not really amnesty

I would say Game On, which I watched all of at some point in the past few years, is bordering on amnesty - it's of its time of course but some of the jokes/terminology are pretty dubious by today's standards. The third series is shite as well.

Still Game gets a bad rep, but I love it.

Not in our house, its brilliant. Chewin The Fat was a good sketch show too with the 2 fellahs from Still Game in it.

I enjoyed "Watching" years ago. Emma Wray was great and the incomparable Patsy Byrne was in lots of them.

Emma Wray was fit!

I enjoyed that too. It was written by a relative of my mum's.

Was watching ' A Confession ' the thing about the murder of Sian O' Callaghan , and recognised one of the actors in it. couldn't work out who it was but noticed at the end it was Paul Bown , the main male lead in Watching. Wiki says he is 63 but he looks ancient.

Not really amnesty, more like "was it just me who saw this shit?":

Mog - badly misjudged sitcom about a criminal holed up in a hospital for those with stereotypical mental health issues ("kleptomaniac", "nympho" etc.)

Bottle Boys - about, erm, milkmen.

I think both were on Granada's Night Time, back in my insomnia days. Please someone say you saw them for fucks sake.

I remember Mog ( Don't remember the other one ). I'm sure it was written by the guys who did Porridge.

Does any of the older forumites remember ' The Squirrels' with Ken Jones, quite liked that.

I remember Bottle Boys, starring perennial cheeky chappy soft porn favourite Robin Askwith.

Load of old shite.

Detectorists is another brilliant show I've not seen mentioned yet. Definitely better than some of the tripe Stig put forward.

Not sure that one of the best UK sitcoms of the last decade requires amnesty.

Agreed but this thread was the most suitable to talk about other UK sitcoms that are not in Stigs list of 16, good or otherwise.
