Oh, that ‘say it’s strange and then say it’s about something else’ thing. Good stuff, but no. Your fanboy love in over years, your Code-level bias, and your refusal to let it drop is what’s weird, not your heroic defence of a very good ‘servant’ who we paid many millions to fuck up multiple times a game.

Since you seem to need an explanation, here’s one: I am negging you for this snide comment.

Surely you can see that’s cowardice.

I’d like you to explain how that’s cowardice. Cowardice means something, so in what way is the view that he upsets the balance of defence ‘the lack of courage to face danger, difficulty, opposition’?

Real strange behaviour from me indeed having to defend a very good servant to the club from fellow fans...

You don’t have to at all. You choose to.

No, you negged me because I said something about somebody you decided was great years ago and can’t admit isn’t. In short, you’re a weak person who lacks the ability to think critically. I dislike you, I’ll put you on ignore because I can’t be arsed reading any more of your 92 IQ bullshit.

I think you’re an absolutely horrible person, too. Your comments about people show what’s really beneath the veneer. When I’m back on PC I’ll block you and you can carry on with your sly negging, insults, and trolling without me bothering you about it. Ta-rah.

*My* comments about people? Fucking hell.. are you serious? Haha!

I’ve made no comment about any poster, except for Grinch because Jairzinho prompted me about it directly? Meanwhile... you’ve thrown several really personal insults at me just in the last quarter of an hour or so?

I think you’re a bit confused here NV.

I’m sure that’s what you think, because you changed the word ‘people’ for ‘poster’ so you could say I’m ‘confused’. Which is dishonest. It’s what you do. You’re just not very good at it.

Lovren is a far superior defender than that clown Luiz.

Luiz has had a better career than Lovren. That's just a fact. He's more talented too.

Luiz is 4 years older. van Dijk will easily surpass him. Luiz and Lovren are at least pretty comparable in terms of when they both started their careers. And it's not close who has been better between those two. So you should drop the bias.

It’s a stupid way to judge a player. Lovren is and has always been better than that clown Luiz..  I really don’t want to go down “O’Shea won more medals than Gerrard” route... so let’s not.

Yeah, you shouldn't because there is no comparison between Gerrard and O'Shea. One was a top player and the other was an occasional starter and squad player. Lovren and Luiz on the other hand are pretty comparable. And Luiz was just better.

One of them was a starting CB in a Champions League winning side, one wasn't. One of them won the league and made the PFA Team of the season that year, one will win the league as a 4th choice. One was the subject of 50m transfer moves, one wasn't.

So we must not give one of our players stick for their performance on the pitch but it’s ok to insult them and billions of others because I presume you aren’t religious.

Lol... Lovren was partly at fault for one goal... ONE!!! We lost 3-0... there were a number of players that playing as bad if not worse than Dejan. Even if he had an absolute stinker, he’s been a good servant for us in his time here overall... show some respect.

Negged again for the lol.

Dave.

Who could have imagined that a thread about Big Dejan would descend into a bitchfest?

I wonder how long Rafa would have put up with him.....

On top of it, I'm pretty sure Luiz has a more impressive clanger compilation on Youtube.

    • We've been discussing that exact Twitter issue over on the GF, Dave:   This is the book I refer to:   https://www.theguardian.com/books/2018/may/30/ten-arguments-deleting-your-social-media-accounts-right-now-jaron-lanier
    • I remember reading an article somewhere that Timo Werner was a shoe-in to sign for Liverpool and any bids by other clubs would be pointless. Funny, because Chelsea were somehow involved in that story too.
    • There's just something about Italian women! Often confused with south American women.
    • Well, I would have to say no then. Nice research though, think I was just drooling. She just looked like a lot of the good reasons to watch Narcos etc.
    • Mo Salah has emphatically put to bed any doubt that he is thinking of leaving the Reds anytime soon.

In a wide ranging interview, the Egyptian superstar discusses his wish to win more honours with the Reds and not waste this remarkable era that the club is in.

The Mirror (Via Bein Sports) reported Salah as saying:

“We should make a great use of this generation, as we have good chemistry between us and you can find harmony and everyone knows what to do and where to find our team-mates.

“Staying at our peak is not something easy but we’ll play hard to keep winning trophies. It’s impossible to me to say that I have enough trophies and I reached my maximum. I will continue to do my best to make next year better than the one before.

As with any world class talent, Salah has attracted interest from rival clubs on the continent, but he has brushed away any such thoughts and revealed a long-held dream of playing for Liverpool.

      “I’m very happy.

“I can’t describe my feelings after we won the league after 30 years. I can see people’s joy and this is so important for all of us. I enjoy the atmosphere here. I love this place and I hope to stay for a long time

“The atmosphere here is different to any other place. It’s really special. I remember I even felt that when I was playing with Chelsea, and that is what made me feel wanting to play here, and to come to play with Liverpool.

“Everything is special about it, from the beginning, hearing You’ll Never Walk Alone boosts your enthusiasm and makes you feel you want to give more and more.

Salah said leaving the West London club was the best thing to happen to his career.

“After I left Chelsea, I was determined to go back and change everything.

“I went back, won the UEFA Champions League, the league and was the top goal scorer for two seasons, I think I did well.

Another perception about Salah is that there is a great deal of tension between he and Sadio Mane but he said it is nothing more than their competitive nature coming to the fore.

"When I was about to sign for Liverpool, I was worried because he [Sadio Mane] was playing in my position and that made me worry about playing more often’

“But Jurgen Klopp personally explained to me that Mane will play on the other side.

“We have adapted well as a team and our understanding is perfect. If this continues, we can achieve more. It’s difficult to maintain our current level, but it’s not impossible.

“With Mane it is isn’t a fight.   "Everyone wants to help Liverpool to win and support other team mates.   "Sometimes we get angry in the match but that finished immediately after we helped Liverpool with our goals and assists."
