Some mothers do ave em. Recently got the box set. Forgotten how good it was and he did all his own stunts. Underrated and forgotten.

I prefer laugh a minute rather than long awkward comedies like The Office and The Royle family.

 

Even my bird got into it and was laughing and she watches shite like two and a half men.

Both excellent.  Neither have dated badly. Both had the good grace not to hang around too long.

 

I've gone Fawlty, purely as a personal preference.

I hate Basil and that's why I love him.

Im sure I read that when they wrote it they had 18 episodes, but then did the quality control on them and condensed them down to 12. I love Blackadder, The Office, Partridge etc etc but I think they all had a lull now and again, Fawlty Towers for me hit the spot every time and I still watch regularly now.

 

But there will be people on here who like My Family, so not everyone will agree,

Yes, it's a bit like Trevor Howard in Rawlinsons End. One of the funniest lines was when he was speaking about the Natives, " at least they had the decency to wake you up before they killed you". He was an old Major or something.
