Bournemouth are desperate for the points so will be pumped right up for this, but thankfully for us the only way they know to be effective is getting on the front foot. That should play right into our hands and be totally different from the approaches we struggled with against Atletico and Watford. The times they’ve tried to keep it tight against us they’ve had all the durability of wet tissue.

Even if they score an early goal and the nerves jangle a bit (we’re definitely getting a few arse-clench moments before this is done) we really should get back to winning ways here.

We just need to get back to basics. That means the defence defending with Fabinho just sitting in front protecting them. Robbo and Trent need to rein in the foraging runs down the wings. Yeah, it's not going to be pleasant to watch but stop shipping goals and you dont lose.

It struck me in the 2nd half against chelsea virtually everyone ripped up the game plan and formation. Fabinho was upfield and didnt have the pace to get back.

Ive said a few times the front 3 are a worry to me. Sadio looks like he's still fucked off at being subbed against West Ham. He's back to his almost couldnt give a fuck style of play. Him and Mo need to fuck off the idea of the golden boot because neither of them are winning it this year, especially when they arent fucking scoring.

I love Bobby but his form is a big worry. It's just not coming off for him. Again, he needs to go back to basics and do the simple thing. Make sure the ball gets to a teammate and cut out the little flicks and backheels. Same goes for Mo.

We always seem to want to walk the ball into the net. Im not sure if that's because the players want to be certain of scoring or they want to score 'perfect' goals. Just put your laces through a couple of them. You never know, the keeper may spoon one like Adrian last night.

Keita is a big issue for me. Jurgen used to go on about Dan not playing and pain so what the fuck's naby's excuse? At times like this when we need him, he's crying off with a sore hip. Get him a sofer fucking mattress to sleep or something. How the fuck does a professional player get a sore him when he's not playing?

As for the game, we need to up the tempo but if the players are running on empty, that's going to be difficult and this is where the crowd comes in. Nothing less than a European night atmos is required.

It doesn’t make much sense that the players would be running on empty. Wolves have got a number of players top of the most minutes chart (practically their whole midfield) but have hit their best form of the season. It must be more subtle than that. We’ve been pretty conservative with our players. If we follow the thought that Klopp’s system is a difficult one for new players to adjust to - which I think we all pretty much subscribe to - it’s pretty logical to consider that it loses its efficiency when 2 or more key players are taken out of it as in the last couple of games. Need to get the best players back on the pitch and play our way out of it ...and also try and have 1 of our forwards score a goal given it’s something like 1 goal in 12 games from that central  position ..

Then we need to change formation when new players are brought into the side. I don't subscribe to the headline of being found out but not having players attuned perfectly to the system leads to big gaps.

However, our lack of goals lately allied to a few defensive howlers makes the situation a million times worse!

We are usually poor on return from a break. We were sluggish for the champions league final last year after 3 weeks without a game.

Since the return from mid-season break this year these have been the results:

Day 1 Norwich win
Day 4 Atletico lose
Day 10 West Ham win
Day 15 Watford lose
Day 18 Chelsea lose
Day 22 Bournemouth ?
Day 26 Atletico ?

Last year Klopp took advantage of being knocked out of the FA cup early and brought them to the sun for a training trip. The results and performances were below par on their return.

Day 1 Leicester draw
Day 6 West Ham draw
Day 11 Bournemouth win
Day 21 Bayern draw
Day 26 Man Utd draw
Day 29 Watford win
Day 33 Everton draw
Day 40 Burnley win
Day 43 Bayern win

Hopefully this season replicates last and we start kicking in to form this week and go on a run of winning games in the league and hopefully win the champions league again

Right back to the league. On paper this should be the game we need to get us back on track. Every side has a wobble in their season. Nothing to be ashamed of losing away at Chelsea in the cup with half a side out.

Fuck all the one eye on Atletico. Get these put away. Best side available, hit them for 5. Get the mojo back. This time in 8 days we could well have forgotten about these past two defeats forever.

We are still the best side in the land/Europe/Earth/wind/fire/heart ...

Losing and whining is not the way, hear what Jurgen Klopp has to say: The title is YOURS!

Neg me, I deserve it.

Hopefully a win and lets get back to normality and do what our main aim is and should be for this season

Forget unbeatable... to be the world, European & English champions in 12 months would be joyous

Liverpool 'mentality monsters' cannot yet be compared to great Man Utd and Arsenal sides - but winning the title to seal astonishing treble will be enough of an achievement for now

A narrative began to emerge last month that Liverpool had decided to set their sights on an unbeaten season and the ultimate Treble.

That, having all but wrapped up the title, their ambitions had been scaled up to emulating Arsenal’s Invincibles and Manchester United’s Treble-winners.

Suddenly there were TV graphics and phone-ins helping pundits decide where Jurgen Klopp’s “Unbeatables” sat in the pantheon of all-time great sides.

The flip-side of the immortality prematurely being thrust on them was simple to predict: as soon as either of their supposed objectives were missed, their season would be deemed, at best, an anti-climax and, at worst, a failure. Hence the current post-mortems.

The truth, though, is that these objectives were an invention by outside forces.

Not only did Klopp’s annoyance at having them put to him after every win tell us that, you would have struggled to hear a serious discussion between match-going Liverpool fans about the possibility of going unbeaten or winning a Treble.

All that consumed them was the league.

Talk of the Watford defeat being a blessing in disguise, as it threw the unbeaten monkey off their back, was never in their thoughts.

The only burden at Anfield is the 30-year absence of a title parade.

Plus, having witnessed one or two trophy-winning machines down the years, they knew there was no basis for the comparisons with past greats, as this side has only won one big, proper trophy

When Arsenal went unbeaten in 2003/4, it was their third title in seven seasons, and when United won the top European and domestic Treble in 1998/9, it was their fifth title in seven years. Both also won the FA Cup three times during those periods.

They were superb sides, containing winners who were peaking when those towering benchmarks were set.

The statistics over the past 12 months may back up the view that this Liverpool side are exceptional “mentality monsters” – but they are not the finished article.

The real blessing in disguise over the past fortnight is that the owners can’t argue if Klopp tells them he needs more depth and variation in his squad to move forward.

Serious money needs to be spent this summer bringing in top-class competition up front, in attacking midfield and at left-back as too many laurels are being rested on.

Plus, as was evidenced at Stamford Bridge, there are senior squad players just not up to it.

The tsunami of statistics that greeted Liverpool’s winning exploits were always – as far as Anfield was concerned – a flattering, but meaningless sideshow.

Nobody was celebrating at the end of last season, having secured the third-highest top-flight points haul. It just made the pain harder.

The most important game now is Bournemouth on Saturday. Win that and they’re nine points from the title.

Win that title and, regardless of what happened at Watford and Chelsea or against Atletico Madrid next week, it’s impossible for this season to be remembered as anything other than utterly joyous.

To be named, within 12 months, club champions of Europe, the world and England would be beyond the wildest dreams of most Kopites. Especially champions of this country – because, over three decades, that is the one they have ached for.

To win it up against this incredible Manchester City side, who averaged 99 points in the previous two seasons, is enough of an achievement for now. There’s no point being greedy when you’re already gorging yourself to breaking point.

If they win the league, the release of that 30-year-old mental pressure valve will see Liverpudlians partying harder than they ever have.

The question of whether Klopp’s team bears comparison with Fergie’s Treble-winners or Arsene Wenger’s Invincibles can be left for another day.

I dont get this if we 'only' win the title, this season will be a disappointment' shit. Says who, the same oppo fans who think VAR is gifting us the title, the same fans who want the season to be declared null and void to stop us winning the title? Who?

It's fucking nonesense and should probably be stuck in that other thread.

So, Hendo out, Alisson out, Shaq 'not involved,' Naby trained but will he want to play after his tragic news and Adrian in goal. What's not to like?

We don't get injuries though.

Defence and forwards pick themselves.

In midfield I'd go for Ox on the right, Milner on the left and Gini in the middle.

Fabihno has been gash since he came back.

It makes sense, on the other hand Fabinho needs playing to improve, so He’ll be playing I reckon.
