Into these bastards

A couple of changes maybe but mostly first team should be playing this.

Need to play themselves into form.

This.

If anyone mentions Lovren to me again they will wish they had coronovirus.

Freedom. Urgency. Charisma. Know-how. Obduracy. Fire. Skill. Up-an'-at-'em. Grit. Guts. Spirit.

I don't ask for much.

I've no idea if this will be a team of just young players or a mix like at Shrewsbury, because quite a few of the senior lads need to rediscover their sharpness. Many say that we should jib off the FA Cup to focus on other competitions, but I disagree and think it's high time we did something significant and progressive in the FA Cup because in general, treating the FA Cup as insignificant hasn't done that much to improve our lot in other competitions. Just get in there, get the job done to make sure we have a ball in the draw for the next round, and get out.

Odd kick-off time mind!

The missing second F is going to trouble me until the final whistle.

We should go for this and keep the momentum going. Play some of the squad and only a couple of kids. There is a chance to win it all this year, it might not happen again - a  knockout game might help us get our spark back.

We have been so good and our only real danger is complacency and the adrenaline running out.

I presume Klopp has been saving the gegen press to avoid burnout. Maybe now is the time to bring it back.

I don't think we should play anybody who played yesterday.  The bench plus the best of our kids would have a decent chance even if Chelsea play their best side (which they won't because they'll be concentrating on getting fourth).

I'd play a pretty strong team and rest a few, especially in M/F where they are looking tired, plus Hendo's injury.

I'd definitely start Lovren. We might need him in the run in to all trophies we can fight for and no point shooting his confidence down even further, and hope he has a good game.

Alisson (although he's bound to pick Adrian)

Williams

Lovren

VVD

Robertson (he loves it)

Lallana

Fab

Ox

Minamino

Jones

Mane

Said at the beginning of the season we needed to jib the domestic cups. The team is now in a poor run of form, by our high standards. It needs to play itself out of that and into form quickly with Atletico on the horizon. And, there's only this and the Bournemouth game between now and then to do it in.

Ive reluctantly come to the conclusion virtually the same team that lost to Watford should play against chelsea but with some changes. Im presuming Joe's knock means he is kept back for Bournemouth or Atletico

Adrian straight swap for Alisson, Williams for Trent, Matip for van Dijk, Jones for Wijnaldum. Minamino could come in for any of the front 3 but Id make it Bobby to stand down.

Admittedly, that's a suicide pairing of Lovren and Matip at the centre of defence so Fabinho's job is to sit in front of them, try and protect them as much as possible and not go foraging upfield. Fingers crossed we win and dont need extra time.

Think Klopp will still give this minimal attention, doubt many of the players playing yesterday will start. Is Neco Williams fit?

I'd guess something like this for starting 11:

---------------Adrian----------------

Hoever-Matip-Lovren-Robertson

------------------Lallana---------------

-------Keita--------------Jones---------

Elliott‐-------Origi--------Minamino
