I think Priti Patel might be the most loathsome UK politician in my lifetime. Thatcher did more damage of course but, given half a chance, I think Patel would make Maggie look like a moderate. 
 

Whilst writing this I am reflecting on whether I have some kind of conscious/unconscious bias that has led me to select two female politicians. I don’t think so though, they’re both truly horrific.
