SEEMS UNLIKELY 1: Father of the House Peter Bottomley has called for a big pay rise for MPs, on the same day the Universal Credit uplift formally ends. He told the New Statesman’s Anoosh Chakelian that “being an MP is the greatest honor you could have” and that they should have higher salaries closer to that of GPs. Bottomley even said of the financial situations of newer MP colleagues that he doesn’t “know how they manage. It’s really grim.” Reminder: The basic annual salary of an MP is £81,932.

Yeah, but they work hard for their money. Any of the rest of us who don't have that kind of cash are just lazy and just need to work harder

I mean, you're right, fairs fair, they are our betters.

Can't believe I entertained the thought this cunt might be on the make and not just really worthy.

GMB to Raab: "There's a 60,000 backlog in the justice system, how are you going to clear that?"

Raab: "Of course we want to clear that, which we will do through our Super Courts and Nightingale Courts".

Just ridiculous to hear a grown man talk about a Super Court and a Nightingale Court.  One echoes Judge Dredd, the other echoes WWI.

Rabb genuinely said on Today that the pig culls are because China ain't buying, no other reason.

Nothing to do with shortages of vets, butchers, transport ect, nope Chinese folk just ain't in to british pigs at present, it'll get better, someday, perhaps.

Cunt.

No, everyone working from home is sitting on their £1700 Peleton bikes and they need to get off them and back into work.

The thinly veiled dig being that people who work from home aren't really working. The British are shirkers, you see. Don't work hard. If only it was like the golden olden days and the only working people you saw were servants, skivvies, maids, chimney sweeps and shoe shiners.

Bunch of cunts, all of them.

We will fix broken Britain

Is it too much to expect anyone to ask just who exactly has been in charge for the last decade ?

I didn't think it would get any worse after the Cameron/Osborne/Gove/Alexander mob, but they were just PR chancers. The current lot aren't even pretending to be politicians, they're just part of the super rich set who have been put into positions of power to siphon off as much taxpayers money into the pockets of themselves and their puppet masters as they can.

Bet they couldn't believe their luck when Covid came along and they didn't even have to go down the usual route of procurement, it's just been a free for all.

Every single promise he has made has been broken

The bus

Sunny uplands

Erasmus

Levelling up

Yet his promise to fix the entire country is treated as gospel

Ladies and gentlemen, the Justice Secretary. This guy was, allegedly, a lawyer in The Hague. Now when he says in The Hague, I think he was bumming William because he's fucking dense and in no way capable of lawyering anywhere, let alone The Hague.

The Tory and the Republican parties remind me of the Pentecostal churches my mum and nan used to go to. There was a top tier of people who weren't really into it but were there to broker business deals, a middle tier of people who were into it but who the top tier secretly thought were dickheads for being so, and then a bottom tier of pure mentalists.
