Patel is a useless, duplicitous gurning fuck but she's won over a lot of the right with her 'get tough on immigrants' line, even if it amounts to no more than talk. I'd be surprised if she goes.

 

As for surprises, I don't know if I'm less surprised that Gove would hold those kind of views or that, having them exposed, he's still in a job with the media, by and large, having fuck all to say on the matter. Does anyone doubt that a Labour minister (or shadow minister) would be forced out of a job within a matter of hours had similar comments they made about black people or the 'toothless northerner' become public knowledge?

To be fair, the anti-immigrant right seem to fucking hate her because the boat people are still landing so she might be binned to get some support. If they can find a more evil cunt to look after all that then god help the poor buggers
