Tory Cabinet Thread

This is the level of he said/she said pathetic armature hour bullshit we’re dealing with...

The news came as allies of Cummings and Cain said their enemies in government were “determined to set fire to [Johnson’s] premiership” with a “tsunami of toxic briefings” that would ultimately undermine the government. Another government figure said: “It’s a bloodbath, isn’t it?”

Stratton, a former Guardian and television journalist who was working for the chancellor, Rishi Sunak, before being appointed by Johnson, was said to be deeply distressed, as her reason for taking the job was to help restore civility and some order to Downing Street. A close friend of Stratton said: “Allegra is very upset. It was the prime minister who asked her to do the job multiple times. She did not apply to do it, but Johnson appealed to her sense of public duty.’

So, she’s briefing against both them and him before her first press conference.

Absolutely amazing scenes.

This tone being set that its a fresh start and everything done so far has all been down to Cummings like the tories weren't complicit and didn't all vote together and set all these agendas, its bullshit. Theyre all as bad as Cummings the likes of Gove who has been front line for years is the biggest bastard of the lot and fucking shame on the constituents that keep voting for Ian Duncan Smith you are appalling people.

They wouldn’t do it if the plebs didn’t lap it up. They’ll be back above Labour in the polls by Christmas because people are fuckwits. After four years you’ve still got over 70m Americans voting for Trump. You’ll still have a sizeable number here voting Tory no matter what.

Eustice doing the rounds tomorrow so that tells us nothing.

If he starts waffling about ‘new beginnings’ ‘a fresh start’ Alex has been slapped down by the back benchers and been told he’s gone if they don’t reign it in.

If he’s talking about Brexit from the off and ‘we’re’ looking to find the best possible deal then  they’ve been slapped down from America’s new gov.

If he’s not got a fucking clue and is waffling shite about all sorts he’s not been briefed.

If it’s covid, it’s damage limitation and business as usual.

None of the above are in any way good.

I’d play the excuse bingo drinking games if I could stomach drinking at 9am, but I’d be blind drunk by 9:15 if I did.

The benefit of Eustace doing the rounds is he's possibly the.most stupid of them all and won't be able to not slip up... Of course this depends if they have told him anything.

Why wouldn't they fresh start? It worked for Johnson when he got in office, he could brush away the entire previous 10 years, May was able to brush away everything because of the new Brexit agenda and prior to that Cameron was brushing away the 1st 5 years because they gave nick clegg a DHgate Eton tie.

It was kind of funny that people like Cummings thought they were actually playing the blue bloods. You don't stay in charge for a thousand years unless you've got game.

Some bald twat strolling into an army base with a clipboard telling generals they don't need tanks anymore and they should invest in Avast antivirus instead was only ever going to end one way.

"Look around you. We're all liars here. But every one of us, is better than you."

Johnson was being lined up as a Co fall guy but these people stick together so someone has probably had a word in his shell like, told him if he publicly cuts the cord he'll be allowed to return peacefully to some estate with a lucrative newspaper column in tow, he may have to pay for that by eating the brexit blame though.

Whitehall sources now want us to believe that Alex sits in on the EU meetings and is the toughest negotiator there, according to the Guardian this morning. This is a guy who hasn't made a decision in his life apart from wanting to be the PM and attended zero Cobra meetings when the virus was just knee high to a grasshopper. They need to fuck off with this transparent bullshit which is making the Cummings's sacking look the PR stunt it's looking like.

Tell you some other damage Cummings has done. I haven't been in a corporate job for three years but I bet he's spawned loads and loads of wannabee Cummings type managers. They come into work with their jeans hanging down and a bobble hat because they're so fucking disruptive.

"Do you know what's the most destructive  phrase in business is? "We've always done it this way'. Be a disruptor, be more Dom Cummings!"

Fuck off.

We were at an away day once and they had some bloke in from ITV to talk about leadership. He kept swearing all the time like it must have become trendy. "At ITV we like to encourage what we call BBI, big bastard ideas'.

Right on cue the top brass in our place for the next few days kept swearing all the time, it was surreal, proper David Brent forced shit.

"Wow what a great speech, put your hands together for that bloke from ITV, the twat."

The above did spawn the funny exchange when said weirdo was sacked after a week,  Michael Crick shouting to Cummings "you going to give the nation any more weirdos this week Mr Cummings?:

disruptor

I despise people who glorify this word in business circles. Those who include it as part of their LinkedIn profile should be shot long before dawn.

For every manager/leader who might understand what, whoever came up with the term, was getting at, there are a hundred others who think it just gives them the green light to act like a cunt.

Claiming to be one is a bit like those who like to let you know how ‘crazy’ they are. If you say you’re a disrupter, you almost certainly aren’t. Same goes for self proclaimed mentalists.

The state of these gimps as well. Cummings, Gove, Johnson etc. Make an absolute mockery of the halo effect theory.

Cummings looks like the sort who lives with his mum until she dies and years later when he dies, those specialist cleaning companies goes in his house because he became a hoarder. They then find her mummified corpse under the covers in the main bedroom.

Gove looks like an unpopular geography teacher who the kids take the piss out of and lock in the stationary cupboard.

Johnson you could take your pick, could see him doing Betterware catalogues, shit estate agent, perhaps a traffic warden.

I think that's the point though. I think he dresses like a scruff because he sees his body as a means simply of transporting his huge brain.

I dont think Cummings ever planned on being there long term, did he not say that he wasnt  a Tory and didnt really agree with their philosophies. I just think it was a boost to his ego to be basically running the country, he liked working with Gove and will now have the pick of top jobs and he has stories galore for his autobiography.

Government announces the banning of the sale of all electric and diesel cars by 2030. This is the direction we are heading in probably rightly so but its a big ask wheres the infrastructure. So many people don't have drives they can just plug the car in and its not like you go to a petrol station and you are done in 2 minutes. Its going to take a huge overhaul of creating charging ports and the impact on the electric grid. We are used to so much bluster from the government is this practical or possible.
