With hindsight, there really was a huge missed opportunity to reply to Dave's first post in this thread with "give me my member money back u cunt". Reflects badly on the whole site really.

Just to say- if they voided it and declared us champs, I’m ok with that!

Talk about taking the shine off it.   A few weeks ago we were hoping to win it at home, rather than watching city drop points.

Well that -- plus no parade.

Im a pretty optimistic guy but all this talk of the title having 'gone' is really starting to grind my gears.

There are a number of options before us and yes, the title being lost is one of them. But, while there may be the odd voice here and there in football to trash the season, overall, I think the majority want a solution. That will either be  re starting the season at some date or, deciding final league places after 'round' 28 of the PL (in our case) when all PL clubs had played the same number of games.

I hope your right mate.

Indeed, it's become an extreme anti climax to what most of us have waited 30 years for.

I like to see it the other way. This one will be indelibly etched into the nation's consciousness and never ever forgotten.

Curiously, previously gleeful fans of certain teams are responding to the potential awarding of the title in a somewhat panicked manner, speaking of how it simply cannot be allowed to happen since our victory is not mathematically certain...

Where in America do you live?. Is it mainly the big cities on the east coast that has been affected?

I live in Long Beach, CA its about 30 minutes south/slightly south west of Los Angeles. As of yesterday Long Beach itself only had four confirmed cases, and they're all accounted for in a hospital. LA County I believe has 19 total cases and then Orange County is also in the teens and Riverside has around 9 or 10 I believe. Overall it seems to be that Washington State has been hit the hardest and some of the larger cities in Northern California started with the closing events and banning of large crowds a few days before everyone else did. Whilst the virus itself is concern I think the nature of people is what's really shocking everyone around here (though I'm not really sure why but then I guess I'm a bit cynical) with the toliet paper shortage and people buying up all the boxed and dry foods. Bottled water is sold out at most places. Even the food that needs to be refrigerated is getting bought up now. Today the school districts for LA and Long Beach both closed for the next month which leaves some parents in the lurch obviously and not everyone is entirely clear on their own job situations either. Most of my friends I know with office type jobs are either working from home now or at least working from home part time. The retail stores, restaurants, gyms, and bars are all still open and I don't expect that will change unless we get a forced lockdown here.

i could understand that if we only had a 6 point lead but 25 point lead if quite abit different. But to be honest looking at the bigger picture how do you deal with the relegation and promotion issues? Either way the FA have some tough calls to make and either way they will piss alot of people off if they void the season (cant see that happening with 9 games to go) or if they call the season over now make us champions and the likes of Villa Norwich and Bournemouth still able to get out of the relegation its just a huge clusterfuck

No one knows what’s going to happen regarding the league and I’m as pissed off as anyone but after all the gleeful gloating of other fans on Twitter of how it will piss the scousers off regarding the Prem being cancelled it would be kind of funny to just be handed the title ...

If you think they went over the top regards #TaintedTitle LiVARpool , they must be on drugs, hacking into City’s computers , the powers that be are making sure they win it...

Then you would see nothing like the kind of vitriol and pure spite that would be churned out then....And it would be a joy to behold

Their outrage would merely highlight how small time and fucking sad they really are. We've won this league mathematics or not. There's no sane person in the world that believes city would over take us. It's shit like this that makes you realise actual  football is the least important part of this whole sport to many fans its entirely about the tribal aspect and being a completely fucking retarded herd wanker.

I'd accept the pools panel deciding all of the remaining fixtures.

Liverpool have sensationally blown the league. The Pools Panel noted Adrian who was standing in for their usual netkeeper made some jolly bad mistakes. Sorry old chaps.

Alisson was declared fit to play this weekend. Pools panel clean sheets all the way. As I’m magnanimous, City can have a draw to spare their blushes.
