Food shopping if you cannot order, going the Chemists if you don’t get them delivered and going the Doctors is all you should be doing bar work in my opinion.

If your old the family should help, careers or neighbours.

Give boozers and eateries a miss, even the Cinema I know people work there, I know it will effect them financially but it will be doing it now. Better to look at the bigger picture.

Work carries easily the largest risk of all those things - choker trains, buses and tubes (london underground for example has unreal numbers on it) mostly all travelling at same or similar times - if you really wanna stop the spread of this full lockdown is where it has to go - anything else is token gesture time and has little effect really - not going the ale house etc is drop in the ocean compared to work.

Of course practicallity of that is very, very difficult.

Isn't that what the cinema's for?

I don’t think this is a moment where the thoughts of a football manager should be important, but I understand for our supporters they will want to hear from the team and I will front that.

First and foremost, all of us have to do whatever we can to protect one another. In society I mean. This should be the case all the time in life, but in this moment I think it matters more than ever.

I’ve said before that football always seems the most important of the least important things. Today, football and football matches really aren’t important at all.

Of course, we don’t want to play in front of an empty stadium and we don’t want games or competitions suspended, but if doing so helps one individual stay healthy - just one - we do it no questions asked.

If it’s a choice between football and the good of the wider society, it’s no contest. Really, it isn’t.

Today’s decision and announcement is being implemented with the motive of keeping people safe. Because of that we support it completely. We have seen members of teams we compete against become ill. This virus has shown that being involved in football offers no immunity. To our rival clubs and individuals who are affected and to those who later will become so, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

None of us know in this moment what the final outcome will be, but as a team we have to have belief that the authorities make decisions based on sound judgement and morality.

Yes, I am the manager of this team and club and therefore carry a leadership responsibility with regards to our future on the pitch. But I think in the present moment, with so many people around our city, the region, the country and the world facing anxiety and uncertainty, it would be entirely wrong to speak about anything other than advising people to follow expert advice and look after themselves and each other.

The message from the team to our supporters is only about your well-being. Put your health first. Don’t take any risk. Think about the vulnerable in our society and act where possible with compassion for them.

Please look after yourselves and look out for each other.

You’ll Never Walk Alone,
Jürgen

If this was the disaster movie, the part where no one listens to the experts until it's too late is gone.    Boris Johnson is that cunt still not listening whilst sitting safe in his ivory tower.

It's pretty mad that there's no forward thinking or planning for this kind of thing.   When we know this has happened before several times.

I don't know if this is going to end up killing millions but what I do know is we're completely fucked once and if we're hit with a deadly pandemic again.  Especially in the UK.

Once other sporting events were called off it was only a matter of time. I imagine there would be also compensation worries involved. If a person could prove they were infected at a game after other similar events had been cancelled, the claims against the FPL would be astronomic.

FWIW I don't think we will see any more games played in this season.

If they want to cancel it this season fine, next season all teams should start with a points differential to reflect the cancelled season, we'll start on 0 points, Man City on -25 etc.

So city get 38 games to try and overturn a 25 point lead rather than just 10 games. Fuck that this league is ours already.

Grand scheme it isn't important any of it, but as this is the football forum.

I don't think anyone was prepared for this shit. Pretty much no stocking up of ventilators, masks, stuff like that anywhere. Will have to be a massive learning experience.

Once Euro2020 is sacked off, I reckon the decision will be made to complete the season in June and July, and then push back the start of next season to September.

If more time is needed, they could even start it in November and then gradually bring it back to mid-August over the course of the next few seasons.

Same here in Denmark, and have been for a few days now. People are going crazy in the shops. Yesterday was the biggest trade day for supermarkets in the entire history. Complete bonckers idiots all supermarkets will and have steady supllies of groceries, but retards have gone into full post nuclear war mode. It's like an episode of the walking dead here.

I was in Aarhus on Monday and Tuesday, in one of the pubs we went to on Monday people were even allowed to smoke inside the pub, a place called Casino Bar.

Like Pistonbroke I haven’t had a drink this year. Unlike him the reason is I’m in recovery. The message is not to isolate and go to lots of meetings! I’m a bit worried that once I’ve wanked myself half to death I’ll finish myself off with beer.

There's no cure for friction burns on the shaft.

NB: Savlon doesn't work fella, just makes everyone ask why there's white cream on yer kecks.

The more I think about it the more I think the government strategy is the right one.

The genie is out of the bottle - the virus can't be stopped.

So maybe we just need to accept that as many fit and healthy people will be infected with it as soon as possible - whilst somehow protecting those who are vulnerable.

If anything we are then taking the hit in the short term to make things better later.

If say 40-50% of the overall population - of the non-vulnerable population gets it and the overwhelming majority come through with no massive treatment required and only mild illness i.e. no hospitalisation then not only are they immune but in theory the virus will then be harder to spread too.

Otherwise everyone and everything goes into lockdown which is impractical and surely just leads to it not becoming something where immunity develops and how long does any lockdown go on?

I'm starting to believe once again that this world is all in my imagination and my pessimistic nature has created this virus to stop my joy of Liverpool winning the league. I'm going to wreck my birds head with this theory and when she inevitably resorts to "may be you're part of my imagination" I'll tell her my imagination  has told her to say that.
