We lost 3-0. We had an xG of 0.2. Don't quote me on that, but that might be the lowest in any game in the history of the club since people came up with that stat. Not every criticism of an individual player needs to be primed with "everybody else was bad as well" when we've so obviously been shite as a team.

People are just sick of Lovren, that's all. And he was very bad today. He couldn't handle Deeney, he had his hands all over him, he couldn't run, he was giving the ball away. It was just glaring how much he was struggling.

Everyone thought that we were absolutely fantastic, bar Lovren. And by "everyone", I do of course mean "no-one".

We were shite. Mane, VVD, Salah, all of our top class players were shite. Individually, and collectively. However, Lovren is shite.

I doubt Gomez or Matip would have changed that result. We did lose 3-0 after all. However, we are objectively worse when Lovren plays. We concede a lot more goals. We don't defend as well as a unit because for whatever reason, be it tactical or mental, we don't work as well collectively. Then there are the individual mistakes/errors Lovren makes. He does wrestle people like Skrtel used. He does often get caught out of position trying to do something reckless. He's rash, and we're a worse team when he's in it.

The wins have masked a lot of our shite performances this season. This has been coming for a while and for some reason klopp seems to have noticed it but it’s continued every game. Hopefully the monkeys off our back now and we can start putting teams away by half time now.

In my opinion, it’s best to forget about wrapping up the title dead early and a record points total, and just take one game at a time. Also, realise that we likely have a massive battle on our hands to stay in the Champions League.

You looked up today's result early, Tone!

I find it strange and a bit disappointing Klopp did not play Jones. He may have been poor but he would have played like a possessed man , and that was what we were missing ....

Almost certainly wouldn’t have made enough difference but I agree.
