Went to see my local team Armenia Bielefeld play today. Another fully deserved 3 points and the three rival teams beneath them, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Heidenheim all lost yesterday. With 10 games to go Bielefeld are now 6 points clear of second placed Stuttgart and 9 ahead of 3rd placed (3rd is play off for promotion and top 2 are automatically promoted) Hamburg. They also have a far superior goal difference to their rivals, looking good for them returning to the Bundesliga, although they inevitably always get relegated the next season.

This Sky deal with the Bundesliga is a fucking nightmare. Two weeks on the spin they are not showing the Friday night game. Only one they showed was because it was Bayern. I think they bought the rights to stop BT/Premier getting them and to stop them going up against the Championship games. 

 

Fucking shite,and this is year 2 of a 4 year deal so unlikely to change. Bundesliga really fucked up with this deal

Fucking appalling, isnt it and seems to be getting worse? I think last season they showed games more regularly. They seem to be prioritising the EFL's Friday night games instead.

I'm a lot less bothered about this than I might have been before given Bayern's complete dominance. It's even less competitive now than a couple of years ago, which will leave Bayern heading into the knock-out stages of Europe not exactly primed for battle.

Last week's Freiburg v Dortmund was live on YouTube.  No studio show either. All a bit 'budget'. And they haven't bothered with Bundesliga 2 which is normally super competitive.
