Really strange that because you don’t like her you either attack her career (which she’s been much more successful at than any of us have in ours) or she’s a drunk.

Hahahaha

Does Nick Cohen often discuss the costs of other government ventures. I don't know the guy or his opinions. We jump straight into bombing the shit out of countries at a huge financial cost because "It's the right thing to do" never talk of this costing us for years, austerity forever!!! This is the right thing to do for now, we already pay in our entire lives from the cash we earn to every penny we spend.

To be fair, I don’t have an issue with people questioning the cost of this measure. It’s a gigantic outlay for a extreme circumstance. What those who suggest it’s a negative don’t seem to understand is that it’s a Tory government doing it, and they’re not doing it for charity and in the name of socialism and togetherness, they’re doing it because we’d likely be utterly fucked if we didn’t.

Quite. It's one of the few things they've got right, and thank fuck they've resisted the siren calls to scrap or cut it, so far anyway.

This thread was on the first page so fuck it I'll use this

Constantly pandering to greed is going to destroy us. I'm for capitalism but more so for ethics and what's right. Draw some fucking lines.
