Report: Leicester make Lallana approach

It appears that Adam Lallana’s time at Liverpool is in its final few months with a new contract not on the cards.

Sky Sports reports that the club have made it clear that there will be no new deal for the veteran midfielder and he is free to negotiate his future.

While a number of Premier Leqgue clubs have made enquires, it is believed that Leicester have got a jump on their rivals although Lallana will assess all options very closely before making a final decision.

Brendan Rodgers has got an obvious link with the 31 year-old having brought him to the Reds in the summer of 2014.

In that time, Lallana has made 175 appearances and scored 22 appearances in all competitions.

While the first three seasons saw the midfielder as a key member of the starting 11, a number of injuries and increased competition for spots saw opportunities become limited for the ex-Southampton man.

While he has had his share of critics within the fanbase during his six season stint, you certainly could not question his attitude which has been first class and why someone like Jürgen Klopp rates him so highly.

In truth, he will leave the club on a high note having made a number of meaningful contributions this season, in comparison to his previous last two campaigns.

Not sure where he gets in the Leicester team unless they're selling someone.

I expect his role would be 4th or 5th choice midfielder instead of 7th here and he'd probably get lots more games (if fit of course)

Alot of revisionism about the about the abilities of Lallana.

When we first bought him he looked like a Rodgers vanity buy, was playing in the front 3 in a team which had fuck all pace and just wasn't what we needed.

When Klopp first came in he absolutely loved him, which should end any arguments about his ability really. Moved him into the midfield 3 and he was excellent, was arguably one of the first names on the team sheet, led the press and was also England best player at the time.

Technically he's absolutely excellent.

Who knows if the team would have outgrown him without all the injuries, but it did. Good player though, would still get in most prem teams when fit.

Henderson gets a few mentions which I find utterly bizarre. He's one of the nicest and most professional players in the sport.

Delusional nonsense

"What would you say Frank if that Henderson showed up at the KP"

"If that Jordan Henderson showed up here I would tell him to fuck right off. We don't need your big club ways around here Henderson"
