Multiple choice is allowed.

 

There might be some questionable appointments but I did not want to leave anyone out and give as many options as possible.

 

So, who are your favourite Liverpool Captains?

Souey by a distance. In terms of real leadership,  don't think there's been a better captain. Gerrard, for me, was a great player but a mediocre captain; he could inspire by example, but that was about it. Emlyn Hughes was the captain Gerrard might have been - great at setting an example, infectiously positive and a fine defender of his teammates.

In the absence of Lucas, I've gone for Souness closely followed by Emlyn.

Steven Gerrard was Liverpool FC for most of my life.

Toss up between Souey and Gerrard for me . Went for Gerrard , probably not the best Captain but he led a poorer team most of the time and he was the star player leading and inspiring by example.
