Us and Everton have been linked to Boubacar Kamara of Marseille. A 20 year old centre back who can play left back and defensive midfield. 

 

Marseille would need to sell but if a takeover of the club goes through they will probably not need to. Valued around €20m.

 

We need 3 stacks to provide his Ligue 1 analysis on this one.

He’s said to be good and get better, but he’s no way ready and good enough to cover Robbo.

He's a decent prospect. Probably more of a holding midfielder than CB in the future because he's not the biggest guy. Decent on the ball, good pace, good defensive instincts. Nothing wrong with him. He's definitely no left back though, I don't remember him playing there.

Still think Alaba would be excellent on a free. Gives us quality and cover right across the back line if Williams can be TAA cover.

 

Accept he would be looking for a big wage,  but it didnt stop us putting BGJ on a relative fortune as we weren't paying a fee , and he is 3 years younger than Milner was at the time.

Alaba would want to go somewhere where he’d start every game I imagine e.g., City or United or Chelsea

I want us to win the title next year, and the CL, and doing so by only signing youth players, journeymen, and complete unknowns as it would absolutely boil piss.

 

I think we should scout gypsy sites, car parks and asylum centres.

Koulibaly is amazing, but unless he's secretly about six years younger than he's reported to be, and prepared to take a pay cut to move here, there's no way we're in for him.

Yeah signing big money 29 year olds in a position that we already have the best in the world and one of the best young players in the world in at the expense of signing one of the brightest prospects in the world in a position we could do with filling sounds like an us kind of thing.

 

Unless we sign both Koulibaly and Havertz. Might as well get Sancho too.

Euro Paper Talk: Liverpool move for Marseille man as cheaper Koulibaly alternative; Man Utd eye duo after ending Sancho bid

Liverpool are targeting a €30m deal for an impressive Marseille defender, while Man Utd have two new wingers on their wanted list after going cold on Jadon Sancho, according to Monday’s Euro Paper Talk.

Liverpool have switched their transfer focus to Marseille defender Boubacar Kamara, according to reports in France.

 

Jurgen Klopp is in the market for a new centre-half this summer with Dejan Lovren looking to move on.

 

The 30-year-old Croatian had been linked with Napoli as part of a £54m approach from the Reds for Kalidou Koulibaly. But the Serie A’s decision to hold firm to Koulibaly’s €100m asking price has ruled Liverpool out.

 

Furthermore, Reds chairman Tom Werner has informed Klopp he will have a limited transfer budget to work with this summer.

 

As such, Le10 Sport claims Liverpool have sounded out Marseille over a possible deal for classy centre-half Kamara.

 

The 20-year-old has established himself in the OM defence this season, playing 28 times in all competitions.

 

As per the report, Liverpool are ready to rival Everton for his signature after learning he could leave for around €30m.

 

With Lovren, Xherdan Shaqiri and Adam Lallana all set to depart and freeing up the funds, a swoop for Kamara will appeal to Liverpool.

 

Chelsea are also reported to be interested. However, the report states the France U21 international would make Anfield his next move were the Reds to make a firm offer.

I honestly want to see more of Williams, Larouci, Jones and if possible, Wilson. I honestly dont think we need to be spending stupid amounts of money although Im disappointed we didnt sign Werner.

I'd sell Lovren and Matip if we could get him. Their wages would cover his aswell with both coming in at around 220k a week. One isn't good enough the other is injured half the time.

Don't think Larouci is good enough defensively if Robbo missed any significant time and Milner is no back up. He doesn't stretch play enough and slows everything down by keep coming back infield on his right foot

They've not got ffp to be arsed about have they now they're out of Europe. I'd be shocked if they didn't spend 300m this summer.

I actually think it is such a Jurgen/FSG move. They might even come out of it with a profit. 

 

If United fail to make top 4, I would make us favourites for the following summer, unless Madrid come to the party. 

We hear this type of stuff all the time though over players in Germany, Werner, dahoud, gotze, Brandt, pulisic and I'm sure a few I've forgotten. They're all nailed on. We've sent a message of sit tight and then the player either wasn't interested when we supposedly had already struck deals or we've decided to wait longer than the player wants to wait. I'm sure agents and players over there are going to start seeing us as the prick teasers we are. I can't believe after the tit Werner has made out of himself over us there'll be too many players interested in waiting for us again. If they get a decent offer, they'll move. And if we really wanted a player, we'd put the money on the table and buy them. The fact is we're not really interested in buying players unless we sell.
