He was dangerous in general and has lots of potential. He's young with loads of physical attributes. Klopp could do great things with him, despite how raw he is. The issue with him is the price and AFCON. Those may see the deal not be done if the funds are there, but as for the type of player he is/could be, I don't think there's an issue there.

I watched him loads in France and he was used very differently at Watford, where he was played wide on the right and just ran in a straight line and put crosses in. At Rennes he played striker, both wings, etc... If the right coach (like Klopp) gets his hands on him, he can be great. He's not the cleanest player technically, but neither was Mané when he signed. People forget that.

I agree, he has a huge potential, from here he’s still regarded as a great talent.

I’m a bit puzzled by people’s opinion on Sarr, clearly underrated.

He has a lot to work on obviously but the potential is huge.

Probably cause most of us have watched him being horrific in the premiership and didn't pay any attention to him in the farmers league.

Offloading some of our fringe players and buying an attacker would round this window out nicely.

More great work by Klopp and Edwards to attract some of these players and get them on good terms. Likewise, both deserve credit for all the money we are due to bring in for our fringe players, as long as we can shift them.

Sarr has a lot of potential but surely he's too expensive for a backup player.

Apparently he cost Watford c.£30-35m last summer. I think it's the going rate.

A quick Google of his name and there seems to be a lot of noise around us signing him in the last few hours.
