Unlike Werner, I don't think Klopp or the club was ever as interested in Havertz as some fans would have liked us to be. Not that bothered either personally. While obviously a talented young footballer, I think he has also been well over-hyped, not too dissimilar to Joao Felix. His numbers often look better than his performances. For 80m, I would like a game-changer a la VVD or Alisson, don't think Havertz is that. Still an improvement on Barkley and Mount though.

Wages are ridiculous for baseball players though -- 8 of the top 10 contracts for sport moneywise are baseball players.

This stuff makes me laugh. Liverpool or Boston having money is dependent on their own finances. One has nothing to do with the other.

That's also in part because they stack on the years. The longest contract we'd offer would be 5 or 6 years, those rounders contracts are 10-13 years when the deals are signed.
