Apart from signing cover players, does anyone think we need to sign anybody to replace a first 11 player...forget AFCON in just curious what people's thoughts are?

We need another option up top.

Werner makes the most sense as he can play wide and through the middle.

Sancho looks brilliant and I'd love him here but only plays wide right and unless we lost Salah can see us buying him.

I don’t want anyone replaced. Why would anybody want that? That said, I don’t think it’s the best idea for us to stand still in the summer. It’s hard to forget the AFCON which is why I think (hope?) we’ll be in for someone else to play up front.

If Minamino comes good, we keep hold of Origi and then sign a Werner type player then we’ll be absolutely stacked up top and able to cope easily with injuries and the AFCON.

Another article in the Echo saying 3 players from the youth team will save Liverpool a fortune.

Neco Williams will "replace" Clyne and be back up to Trent. Also Gomez can concentrate on being a centre back.

Curtis Jones to replace Lallana as you have said.

Hoever to be 4th choice centre back. So Lovren might not be replaced with a new signing.

I dont mind to be honest as Hoever looks good and captains the national team at his age level.

Is Hoever older than Van d Berg? Physically, seems slighter of the two from what I've seen of them (which isn't much). I think in the main, those three decisions make sense long term, but are they ready for next season? Jones I'm prepared to give the benefit of the doubt to based on what I've seen. Williams & Hoever might be a tad ambitious?

If we sign Werner then Origi gone. He's not getting much playing time as is.

Origi is getting to that age where he needs to be playing regularly or being the main man at a team lower down the league. Wolves are apparently interested in him so I think he will go somewhere.

Wasn't that the point of the Wolfsburg loan?  I assumed that was him giving it a try.  And the new LFC contract was realization that it's better to be a role player here.

Think so but he just came back. Think Klopp wasnt keen on him but he came back and he just used him as a squad player who ended up scoring a few goals.

The new contracts was just to stop him leaving g on a free.

I thought Klopp rates Grujic?

Minamino seems to have taken Shaqiri's role, Grujic could rotate in midfield in the absence of Lallana, so the talk of LB cover and maybe a forward seems about right.

I can't shake the feeling that we might see Salah go for some reason though. When he arrived there was some chatter that his dream was Madrid, which was sensibly quashed by his agent, but I wonder if winning the league here - having already won the CL - would be seen as his time for a new challenge.

Grujic is not good enough, he's not exactly lighting it up at Hertha these days. The initial encouragement over his performances have died down. Wasn't he recommended to Klopp by Buvac btw

Clyne, Lallana, Lovren, Wilson, Grujic, Shaqiri. = 80m+ in the current market.

Get a lb,cb, forward. Maybe another cm.

We wont get anything for Clyne and Lallana, they're out of contract at the end of the season. Doubt we'll get much for Grujic either, maybe £20m-£25m absolute tops?

If Wilson, Lovren, Grujic and Shaq go to PL clubs we might still get near £80m though.

I really hope Bournemouth stay in the league to help us swell the coffers.

I sure bournmouth don't want to spend any more money with us after ibe, solanke and that full back I can't remember the name of (Brad someone?). But after the goals he's scored this year, I think they'd be mad to let Wilson go.
