I don't ask for much.

Just carry on doing what we've been doing all season. City play on Sunday so we have a chance to extend the gap to 22 points before they play against a Spurs side and a manager perfectly happy to match and then exceed them for shithousery. For our game, I would hope that we can be much more clinical and ruthless with the chances we fashion. Make it so!

That we did.

On the assumption that Spurs beat City tomorrow, that will put them 5th on 37 points with 39 left to play for. Even if they went on a winning run like ours for the rest of the season, they'd still finish with only 3 points more than what we currently have after just 25 games!

To be honest, plenty of us routinely got up in arms about decisions we perceived went Man Utd's way. The truth is, to some extent, that the best team faces a level of scrutiny that others simply don’t; every infraction or questionable decision ends up being poured over and a narrative takes flight. No-one cares that Brighton and Crystal Palace have benefitted more than any other team from VAR overturns, least of all lazy journalists.

City 2 years ago were strangely immune from this. Everyone just seemed to accept it - "They've bought loads of very good players and they've got the right manager - of course they're strolling to the title."

Shearer can fuck off, no way was that a pen on Ings, Bobbys one was!

Steady, we don't want you taking Liverpool's side when your default position has helped the team get to a 22 point lead.
