Just another nail in footballs coffin.

Won't be long before all that is left is a few state controlled clubs playing in soulless 'arenas' called 'The Google Arena' etc.

We'll probably be one of those clubs, or we'll just fall by the wayside as no longer able to compete.

But hey as all those on the moral high ground told us after the ESL debacle you have to 'Earn it'.....Well Newcastle have clearly 'earned it' haven't they....

Football is dying - fast.

Will be interesting to read the Everton take on this. FFP is ruining clubs like Everton to keep the big clubs happy, but should be applied to the Geordies.

If by some miracle they build the unicorn they would be prime for being one of the next clubs for one of these takeovers.

West Ham another.

Another nail in the coffin of the game.

The state ownership sports washing should have been abolished not another member joining the ranks of Abu Dhabi & Qatar.

It seems murder isn't on the PL test for fit & proper ownership either. Nor is human rights violations.  PL is all about money & greed.  Sadly with the super league nonsense this reaffirms that this is also the case for owners of the established 'super' clubs.

Defo some government interference as well pushing this through.  Russia & the gulf oil states can do what the fuck they want it seems without consequence.

Honestly won't be long till I ditch the sport as its just getting worse & worse. Ridiculous new laws, awful VAR and probably a world cup every two fucking years.  The bureaucrats running the game have royally ruined it's all been about £££££££ & how much you can profit from.

Barcelona will be the next club with gulf 'ownership'  They won't be owned by them in name but will be financed by some gulf state or at the very least their debt wiped cleaned due to some dodgy sponsorship deal.

The  journalist murdering and dismemberment Saudi Arabian, backed £305m takeover of Newcastle is a "special day" for the club's long-suffering supporters says Alan Shearer, who merely kicked fellow players in the head.

Well, alright, Al, as long as you can wax lyrical to your mate, Lineker, about how wonderful this is for football and Newcastle, in particular. It might induce one of your 'trying to look thoughtful and intelligent, sideways squinting I-don't-know-about-this, Gary, look' if it was another club, though, ay?

Meanwhile

I'll take your blood money to sack me says Bruce
