Their fans are like Everton's. They genuinely think it's some sort of conspiracy against them and tat if it was us or united it would have already been done and dusted. Some sort of murky organisation trying to maintain the status quo behind the scenes.....

I think you'll find it's no murky organisations it's "the powers that be".

The hatred for Ashley by Geordies is something to behold. I wonder if it bothers him.

My mate used to do some work with him in the past and helicoptered up to Newcastle from London a few times for games. He said Ashley doesn't give a fuck and thinks it's funny.

Jesus wept, repeat the lie so often so it becomes the truth. Seeing these reports Liverpool 'objected' to the Saudi toon take over because we feared the competition.

What a fucking joke. I hope we did object to a murderous regime that cuts up people in their embassy for having opposing views taking over any PL club.

Seems legit.

Living in Qatar I always supported them in petty feuds but as a Newcastle fan this takeover has been last straw

I would like to introduce myself, I’m a 14 year old Newcastle United fan who currently resides in Qatar.

So I am well acquainted with the geopolitics that are occurring.

To be honest, I always support Qatar in these petty feuds but this time it is the last straw after what has happened to our club with the takeover.

I don’t think some fans realise the opportunity that our club might have just missed out on.

I love the city of Newcastle with it’s architecture and unique location with the river and close to the ocean.

However, I have also lived in Manchester and the investment levels are off the scales between the two cities.

It is a clear problem that the North is underdeveloped and not looked at, which is completely horrific and wrong. Just forget the footballing side for a minute, imagine how our city could’ve been transformed thanks to the takeover.

I would love to take this to the premier league and give my opinions as I have a passion in public speaking, writing and debating and I don’t care who I’m speaking to because if they’re in the wrong like Richard Masters, they need to be held accountable. My dream is to represent our club, or work with a consortium for example who revives our club from the dead.

I’m sorry but I’ve had enough of all these takeovers failing and fans just giving up.

Especially now when we’ve basically missed out on the opportunity of a lifetime and if we don’t do anything now, we’re going to look at the club that the Saudis buy eventually and the thought of what could’ve been will wriggle through our blood till the day we leave this earth.

This is what I propose.

If there is even a chance of the takeover being revived we need to take it now.

As Newcastle fans we need to do everything we can to protest against the Premier League, actions which will also show the Saudi PIF how much we back them and how amazing our fans can be with the unlimited potential at the club.

I know I am just a 14 year old kid who dreams to be a famous writer or debater and represent the club I love, so people will undermine me to a massive extent.

Please give myself and these ideas a platform for the club you love and forget my age for a second, as it is not only unfair on kids my age with aspirations but especially this football club.

A socialist Geordie panhandling for Saudi Arabia??!!!

What's a Geaordie?
And if the the Premier league are corrupt, what's the Saudi regime, or does that not matter as long as they splash the cash for 'the toon'?

This whole thing has been predictable and depressing.

I have a lot of time for Newcastle as a club, and I've always had a soft spot for their fans, so watching a sizable majority of them be sucked in to the Saudi scam has saddened me.

I understand that they want their team to win more games, but at what cost? I'd like to think that Liverpool fans would be outraged by the idea of an evil billionaire using our club to cover up his corruption and murder, but I'd probably be saddened by that even more if it were ever tested.

And the saddest part of all has been watching their fans spout Saudi talking points online everywhere. "The PiF isn't controlled by Saudi Arabia." Come on, mate. "Qatar is being a bad sport." Since when do you even care about the Qatar/UAE/Saudi relationship?

I don't think they are using the club profits for this but I agree with the sentiment.

Calls herself a fucking Labour MP and she's writing to the PL to ask questions about the non takeover?

She should get her head out of her fanny and tell her constituents straight 'you want a bunch of butchers who chopped up a guy in their embassy then carried him out in bin bags and wont disclose where his body parts are so his family can get some closure, to own the club instead of ashley? Give yer heads a shake! Yanarrr!'

And yet on another forum I frequent all I get is dogs abuse for stating this when talking about the failed takeover.

She isn’t saying she’s in favour of the takeover. She’s writing to ask for clarity on how the decision was taken on behalf of her constituents because they’ve asked her to. Which is her job.

Behave. She knows full well why the PL prevaricated over the deal. Chopping people up and pirating PL games are the reasons. If she doesnt know about the first, she's thicker than even I thought.

It's got fuck all to do with chopping up people. You might be on to something with pirating games.

Yeah, we all know the real reason, but the PL don't comment on takeover deals so she's wasting her breath to be honest.

We said that we would see you because we had heard that you were a serious regime, to be treated with respect. But we must say no to you and let us give you our reasons. It's true we have a lot of friends in politics, but they wouldn't be so friendly if they knew our business was TV piracy instead of chopping up journalists and human rights abuses, which they consider a harmless vice. But TV piracy, that's a dirty business. It makes no difference, it don't make any difference to us what a regime does for a living, you understand.

You behave. It’s a case of outrage over nothing.

Her asking for clarity on how the PL was making the decision ON BEHALF OF HER CONSTITUENTS is not the same as her thinking the takeover was a good thing or believing the Saudis are stand up guys. She is discharging her duty to her constituents. I’m not sure how much clearer I can make it.

Her duty to her constituents is to tell them how it is, that this ownership is not acceptable and not be a messenger lackie.
