Who gives a shit what the say.

Last season all 4 European finalist play in the Premier league. And all have progressed again.

City will still likely get 80 plus pts.

Leicester could get 70 odd. The rest dropped back to the pack and others have got better.

“If it’s so weak, why aren’t your team doing better?”

”As European and World Champions, Liverpool transcend all leagues and are exempt from that appraisal on quality, and as that slight obviously doesn’t apply to us, we couldn’t possibly comment”

One of my favourites is when people use the fact that clubs who’ve typically been around the top four in the last decade or two are struggling as evidence of a weak league, as though their status is a challenger irrevocably static. You might as well go back further and say it’s weak unless Sunderland, Huddersfield, Aston Villa and Everton are in contention.

Compare it to when the Mancs won the treble. Tottenham were shitter, Man City didnt have unlimited cash, Leicester were lower table plodders, Chelsea didn't have unlimited cash until 2004 and teams like Crystal Palace could never spend £35m on one player. Everton bought a Brazilian international for £50m last season. Wolves bought Ruben Neves from Porto before they even came up. I know there's some dodgy Portuguese agent involved but he would probably rather play in the Premier league than most other leagues.

In 1999 Arsenal were their only really serious competitors having won the league the season before. The Mancs drew something like 12 games as well.

The wealth distribution has helped mid table teams buy players from other leagues, where they have a chance of league titles and playing in Europe because these players want to test themselves in England. Burnley have more money than Ajax or PSV Eindhoven.

The only reasons that people think its weaker is because Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea are in transition and the Mancs are shite. Yet they all have players who have cost tons of money and are regulars for their international sides.

If I had anyone around me who wanted an answer, I suppose I'd go looking for stats showing the amount of money the Prem is spending on players, as opposed to the other European leagues.

Look at prices paid for players leaving the Prem vs arriving.

Look at the league with the most CL-winning managers and total CL wins by all managers, etc.

Things like that.

If we are supposedly shite and yet dominating this league, that says more about the shitness of everyone else than it does about us. We're also the reigning European and World champions so that must mean the entire sport of professional football is shite.

Actually an argument about just how mentally good we are. Unprecedented. None of the teams in the lower half would struggle in any of the other major leagues. The whole league is full of expensive internationals.

It's just yet another bullshit excuse from our haters to justify how Liverpool have become so good. Those cunts will never give us credit for actually being a great team and will come up with shit like "the league is weak", VAR and all the other nonsense to discredit us. Fuck them, we should not even have to dignify their obsessive hatred with an argument. Just ignore them and enjoy this incredible time to be a Liverpool supporter.
