Fuck off, pro-furlough wanker.

I employ people throughout this period - do you? If only you were so avid on etiquette as you are conspiracies.

Not a huge fan of the WHO bureaucrats but there might be a bit of an imbalance in actual knowledge, expertise and experience regarding the issue between you and the World Health Organization.

Which I accept.

So, what about CDC vs WHO?  Because at the moment their advice conflicts and they can't both be right.

Guardian again :

Prof David Heymann, of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, who chaired the WHO’s scientific and technical advisory group for infectious hazards, said that unless people were working in healthcare settings, “masks are only for the protection of others, not for the protection of oneself.”

Fucking morons.

So if you walk into some crowded place where someone with coronavirus has been coughing and/or sneezing, guess what? You don't need a mask because those droplets will just magically take care of themselves.

Ah but people with symptoms should be self isolating. Yeah and people should be staying indoors, doesn't stop us from seeing people gathering to socialise and sunbathe all over the country half the time we check the news or social media, or when we see people packed together on public transport so often. It only takes one person coughing and/or sneezing for there to be droplets hovering around all over the place.

Ah but there's a mask shortage for health workers. I get that too, but these fucking morons should just tell the truth instead.

And isn't it interesting that we hear from people like Prof David Heymann telling us we don't need masks regularly but nobody from the other side of the argument gets to have their view added?

Good for herd immunity tho.

Made an arse of ourselves on the FSG thread, didn't we?

I take that as 'no'. Fully employed spreading bile on an internet forum - got it. Still, keep your pipeline steady at crafting enough tin hats against all the world health organisations & elite academics you are railing against and maybe you can then help by offering some sort of employment to people in the real world, too.

I’ll take WHO over CDC. Especially as the CDC Director is a Trump appointment with a history of data manipulation on experiments and is an extreme evangelical

Fair enough.  What about independent governments around the globe, are they all wrong too?  Or is the WHO the ultimate authority on this despite basing their view on "no evidence".

There's zero fucking way around it. WHO, CDC, Imperial College, Supreme Teletubby Council of Enlightenment. They're all wrong, if there's droplets and you're wearing a good enough mask it's helping you. They must know this though so I think they're still fearing mask shortages if there's panic buying. No excuse for lying like this though.

My only issue is that it looks like you also need eye protection to be fully safe.

You’re asking them to prove a negative which isn’t going to happen

For what it’s worth, I am wearing a mask in closed environments - basically shops as nowhere else is open. Not because I particularly believe in them but because it can’t hurt and the wife will talk at me forever if I don’t

Whilst we're on the topic, I've just used a 'foaming cleanser', something called a 'serum' and a facial moisturiser and my face feels like it's just been jizzed on with feathers and violently abused by a cashmere quilt.

I feel fucking amazing.

...and emotional.

Maybe essential workers should receive better wages now this pandemic has highlighted their importance to the wellbeing of this country not just for it's health but for economic reasons.

Get rid of the bastard loopholes in taxation so companies pay their due before they need government money to secure their futures. It highlights what an absolute shit show we've allowed greedy self serving bastards do to our country. Fucking drinking on a Tuesday.
