The government still hasn’t addressed the fact that people are having to go out, day after day, attempting to buy food and other essentials. The rationing of food was implemented too late. Even now, it hasn’t been properly thought out and is open to being exploited.

Through stock and supply lines there’s enough to more than feed for a few months, things might start to dry up after that due to factory closures etc, but we’re ok. Once the pricks who panicked don’t have to go out anymore order will be restored.

The problem comes when imports are factored in. We import so much and have a mutually beneficial arrangement with dozen of countries that it’s going to be problematic. We sell them our planned excess, we buy there’s, creating almost monopolies of individual items.

If this goes beyond a few months we’ll be eating a very ‘British’ diet.

There appears to be a big problem with supermarkets coping with the increase in online orders. It’s no good being told to stay at home if you’ve still got to go out to the shop. Not everyone has a supply of tinned and frozen food, nor does everyone have someone who can buy their groceries for them.

Very true. They've been leaving it to the private sector and market forces until today. A shocking lack of forward planning, BJ only kicked off Cobra meetings and fronted this up a couple of weeks ago whilst it's been clear since 24th Jan what has been coming.

They could have taken over management of economic sectors e.g. food supply, remove competition laws, instruct supermarkets to introduce informal rationing, limiting hours and access to vulnerable groups/essential workers weeks ago. Instead they've left it to supermarkets to figure it out for themselves. The week before last our prime minister popped up on national TV on thursday evening to announce that our loved one's will die before promptly clocking off for the weekend. That triggered an upswing in panic buying that was already underway.

We're heading for a catastrophe lead by a government too focused on protecting the economy, being reactive rather than proactive every step of the way.

Thats shit, of course, but this is unparalleled.

Once we get our collective shit together and our heads around this those with a social conscience will make sure this is as good, or as close to, as can be.

We’re not all cunts and we’ll figure this out, social media might finally become worthwhile and not an empty vacuous shitfest.

Supermarkets will, and are, just hiring more warehouse workers and delivery drivers. This is Christmas for them after a shit, er, Christmas. There aren’t and won’t be shortages for a while yet. Importantly, the factories won’t need to shut as modern working condition are ‘spaced isolation’, ironically, to increase productivity.

Just be at peace with isolation, your needs can be met, except social interaction.

I’ve been told my blue passport will nourish me and mine through this episode as long as I believe in the mystical power of Albion.

I, for one, am no longer scared.

Does anyone know how this will affect national couriers such as Yodel, TNT etc. Are they still allowed to operate or are they on lock down also?

Become key workers.

Demand will increase which will increase delivery time, though they will be taking in extra drivers. Will be fine.

Cheers. My company use them for most of our deliveries. The only issue we may have is will people still be allowed to pick items as its non essential retail?

My gut feeling is we are going to be incredibly busy. We have beaten our weekly target by over 100% this week without even trying!

It will become essential as it’s all we have and there is no real danger, according to all available evidence.

You ain’t getting a three price sofa, but a book, lamp or dildo and you should be good.

Either him or ‘Ahmed, your local Hermes associate’ that cunts raking it in with all my hooch, cheese and specialist magazine orders.

Just moved into a new place as this was all hitting and needed to kit it out from the ground up, in greater haste than Xerxes sprinting home from the match to antagonise San Don.

Only needed to have had them delivering live animals to my plate and it would effectively be that MBK superstore in Bangkok for volume and variety.

Sexrex was such a bellend, not even in a good way.

He made me laugh. His match reports must have been written with quill and parchment.

Just been out and about briefly and there are some right thick cunts out there thinking this is still 'just the flu' and 'nothing to worry' about. I wonder how many more are just completely oblivious to all this.

I felt like correcting them, but couldn't be fucked to waste my energy on a bunch of retards.

Many. Just read this on my FB account

"seasonal flu kills 646 thousand people a year worldwide, if it became a pandemic flu which does happen it would kill millions and do we have shut down and go to these lengths when that happens, absolutely Not! Covid19 is only really dangerous to either people in I'll health or old unlike the flu which can be dangerous to anyone. The majority of the people who get Covid19 and please note I put the word majority will not even be aware they have had it, its that minor, logically if you go down with a cough or sore throat it will be just a cold and nothing more but of course everyone will over react and think they have Covid19, if you do not believe what I am saying about Covid19 do a little bit of research and you will find out.. And if you think Governments don't lie ill give you an example, weapons of mass destruction in 2003 when we went to war in Iraq for nothing and do you remember before Christmas we all wanted to kill politicians cause they were all telling lies and obstructing democracy concerning Brexit and now all of a sudden we are to trust them, I have a long memory, you obviously have a short one, so if you think being stuck in your house for 12 weeks with nothing to do and no where to go, you must be crazy! Please note my husband has a heart condition and he's not bothered in the slightest cause we can think for ourselves, I don't need the BBC, media and newspapers to tell me what's going on, I do my own research! That's my opinion and I am entitled to it, we do allegadly live in a democracy though for how long who knows. I can guarantee after all this nonsense has finished the world will be a different place and that's the last I will say on the matter"

This is their last night of being able to be conspicuously brave, isn’t it.

Be wacky videos, “WHAT ARE WE LIKE?” and heroic, laughing in the face of an invisible killer which is going to capsize our health service, agogo on social media tonight.

After that, they’ll all be meeting up at their own places and spreading it that way.

Indeed. Proper "are you sitting comfortably, then I'll begin" fare. As he made his way to the ground, down cobbled streets, past candlestick makers, waving hello to the vicar carrying his trusty wooden rattle.
