Define ‘common cold’

It's like the posh cold, but it lives in a two-up two-down and eats oven chips.

The wife was talking to her best mate (Debbie) this morning.  Debbie had another friend whose family all got covid at half term.  Family get over it but dad stays ill.  Admitted to hospital on Thursday.  Debbie looked after their 3 kids at weekend. On Sunday the wife goes to Debbie and tells her the hospital had told her he was going to die.   Kids had to speak to their dad and say goodbye over the phone. He died an hour later whilst the family was at her house.

He was 49 and unvaccinated. Get vaccinated kids.

Awful news. That poor family.

I see US anti-vaxxers have taken to calling themselves ‘purebloods.’

Only a matter of time before ours follow suit.

This will go well.

That's very 'aryan'. Same twats will be walking round with Star of David badges on as well. Thick as pig-shit.

Mask-wearing is the single most effective public health measure at tackling Covid, reducing incidence by 53%, the first global study of its kind shows.

Get your shots.

Handwashing also indicated a substantial 53% reduction in Covid incidence

Seems legit.

As coronavirus cases in Germany hit record highs, the head of the country's infectious disease agency has described the situation as a "serious emergency".

The number of daily cases has risen sharply to 65,000 - by far the highest since the pandemic began - and Chancellor Angela Merkel has warned the country is in the grip of a dramatic fourth wave.

Handwashing also indicated a substantial 53% reduction in Covid incidence, although this was not statistically significant after adjusting for the small number of handwashing studies included.

Always better when you don't quote mine or cherry pick.

Probably better if people don't post such transparent nonsense in the first place, to be honest.

Just lacking that wee bit of explaining why Sweden has had negative excess deaths since last year.

Northern Ireland's Health Minister Robin Swann has been targeted by threatening graffiti, hours after Stormont approved plans to roll out a mandatory vaccine passport.

The Ulster Unionist Party politician's name alongside a target mark - similar to that of the crosshairs of a scope on a gun - was painted on a wall in Dungannon, County Tyrone.

Negative or "flat" ?

Edit: Strangely enough this was in the thread about Germany I was just reading

Why would it? It's a meta-study of various papers that analysed protective measures- https://www.bmj.com/content/375/bmj-2021-068302

Red Phoenix being a conspiracy peddling anti-vaxxer is the least surprising revelation in recent years. Part of the lunatic cabal that doesn't believe scientists, epidemiologists, nurses, doctors and researchers but instead 'did their own research' which boils down to reading wacko shite on Facebook because their bullshit filter doesn't work and there's an implied arrogance that they're smarter than the rest of the country who has had the vaccine.

It's not the Matrix, you're not special, you need to give your head a wobble.

I missed this, SMT V arrived for the Switch on the same date this was posted so not surprising.

I'm against the covid passes and mandates mostly, as I was since I started posting more in the thread since Sept 7th if I got the date right. You can be free to point out how corrupt big pharma are and also be against passes and mandates without being an anti-vaxxer as well. There's also scientists doctors and nurses all over the world that are pointing out problems with what's been going on, including many that have been forced to leave their jobs after being hailed as heroes last year.

But they can easily be dismissed with a few labels like conspiracy theorist, anti-vaxxer, etc, so don't worry much about that. At least for now anyway.

If being coerced by increasingly authoritarian governments and corporations to take vaccines or you're shut out of having any type of normal life is the new normal then don't worry, you won't need me posting in this thread to realise that the shit show is falling apart as time passes.

As for it not being the Matrix, you should check out some of Klaus Schwab's ramblings. If his lunatic cabal has their way we might find that we're a lot closer to one.

You could vaccinate the entire population and close the borders but you're not going to eliminate covid. The vaccines reduce hospitalisation and death, not the virus spreading around. No amount of covid passes, mandates or scapegoating unvaccinated is going to eliminate covid.

And governments and corporations are taking advantage of what's happening to further their own agendas no matter how many times you say conspiracy theorist.

Maybe it'll click eventually.

Are you still saying the vaccine doesn’t reduce infections?  And you wonder why people think you’re mental.
