BBC going out of their way to defend why we are one of the worst effected in the world. Its Britain we excel in fucking things up.

Mate we celebrate Dunkirk in this country, where we got cornered on a beach and had to be evacuated by canal boats and canoes, leaving all our guns behind in the process.

I had an hour to kill before a Skype meeting with work so skipped through a couple of months last year finding all the mad shit Spy Bee has said and quoting it. Feel bad posting it now though after TK skewered him.

That's mad. The complete fucking arrogance of it all. Telling medical practitioners that they don't know what they're doing and instead recommending, based on absolutely nothing, an alternative treatment regime.

The patient seems to be buying into it too. He might've been unduly influenced by the gobby ones, but a little bit of you wants to say "fuck it, let him go and let the dickheads get on with it then."

As a winter Covid surge batters California, scientists wondered if the contagious UK variant had landed in their state.

Two independent research groups - in Los Angeles and San Francisco - are now confirming the existence of a homegrown variant of the virus.

Data suggests it appears to be spreading faster than any other variant in the state.

Both sets of researchers confirmed they had been looking for the UK strain when they stumbled upon the new mutation.

A single instance of the strain was detected back in July but it lay dormant for months.

It has since exploded across the state, likely contributing to a brutal holiday season that has strained hospital capacity to its limits and doubled the state's death toll.

California has now recorded over three million total cases and more than 37,000 deaths.
