Schools staying open then.

It's completely insane. No point in locking down businesses and sending schools in. Defeats the objective but Tories gonna Tory.

I have to ask, is anybody in the UK adhering to the guidelines, masks, not meeting up etc........

Judging by what I’m seeing out and about, no. Seems the maskless outweigh those with masks. Went the co-op on Utting Av before. No shop staff wearing masks. Bellend drug dealer type in the store sans mask. Only me and one other customer wearing one.

Just been to sit off at New Brighton for a bit to stretch my legs. Most people passing me - no masks.

Of course he would. Only weirdos go the bog in supermarkets.

Unforunately when you're out on the roads all day, just finding a toilet is a luxury.

I still see people go into shops without masks on. Schools when they're in are not required to wear masks. On a slightly darker note, when I was in a public toilet I noticed a guy after using the urinal run his hands under the water then use the air dryer for ten seconds. This was in a supermarket. No doubt he would have gone on to touch stuff around the store.

I went into a supermarket bogs once. I wouldn't be surprised if Covid started from there.

But pubs and restaurants are closed I presume?

Pubs haven't opened here in Ireland since March, a few gastropubs where open for a few weeks in the summer and the past two weeks (closed again) but that's it.

Now don't get me wrong, our numbers here in Ireland are over a thousand a day at the minute, but the UK seems ridiculous be an absolute cluster fuck. I just hope we don't follow suit here in Ireland.

They are in lots of other countries.

It's fucking weird to hear that people are outside their house not wearing a mask.

What are the rules in the UK? Are you supposed to wear a mask?

Probably not, but a few months ago it seemed people wore them outdoors as well, but there seems to have been a slackening off.

Can't say i agree personally with people wearing them to walk about in the wide open in.

Of course it is peoples right to do so if they want to, but its not for me.

I speak as someone who finds wearing a mask incredibly difficult though - i suffer with seizures and have had 2 as a result of wearing a mask.....i still wear one on buses etc, but frankly have become a bit of a recluse so as to avoid need to wear one.

Yes, but no, but yes at times and maybe, if you feel like it.

Transport and enclosed spaces there are supposed fines, but it’s a complete shitshow with, anecdotally in London where I work/travel through, 60/70% use.

Shops are supposed to enforce, but the major supermarkets said they wouldn’t challenge individuals.

As with everything Blighty, it’s been a mishandled, poorly messaged and managed clusterfuck.

There’s both personal and political blame though.

I don't wear one walking from mine to the shop until I get into the village then I put it on. I'll walk in the road or cross if anyones walking towards me as well. They should be properly enforced in shops. Still get cunts without them who act quite aloof and lairy about it. To be fair most do, where I am anyway.
