They reduce transmission; they don't eliminate it.

I posted a New Scientist summary of the evidence for this a few pages ago (before the Nazis showed up).

I asked you how they reduce it. Also asked you about who are the unvaxxed needing to protect by getting the vaccine when those that were vulnerable and needed it for it, and those wanted to got it also.

I’ve seen it bandied about on this thread about “protecting others” by getting it, so who are they looking to protect if everybody who wants the vaccine and needs, it has it?

Show me data that shows hospital cases where there are more unvaccinated than vaccinated. I don't mind waiting... like forever for them stats.

I HATE this government, I HATE being told what to do and I HATE the thought of anyone being forced to take/do something they don't want to do.

BUT you can't complain if certain places require proof of vaccination. All you anti-vax lot can go the old 051.

What the fuck are you on about?

I just shared experience that 6 people of those 8 people have been vaccinated and all suffered worse than my missus did with it.

Have a day off mate. Will do your mental health the world of good. I mean it.

I don't like the idea of compulsory jabs or fines, but I don't think it's unreasonable for private venues and airlines to have their own health safety standards.

It's all about choices, and if you don't want the jab there are things that will remain off limits to you, much like if you don't want to wear your seatbelt then public roads are a no-go

Never said it did.

Just sharing the experience that my missus didn’t suffer anything more than a bunged up nose and tiredness, while those that are vaccinated all suffered worse symptoms.

If I put it on a spreadsheet would that make it data?

Ever notice how the right-wing conspiracy loons who compare vaccines, mask mandates, etc. to the actions of the Nazis always jump straight to the persecution of the Jews. If they wanted to be logically consistent (stop sniggering at the back) then when they complain about a government persecuting people for thinking differently and disagreeing with the government, the example should be the Nazi persecution of Socialists and trade unionists.

I can't imagine why they don't use that analogy.

Airlines, you say? Well, it seems to be working a treat.

How 2 Flights to Europe May Have Spurred Spread of New Variant

A confounding array of Covid rules and lax enforcement of mask wearing may have sent infected passengers on two KLM flights from South Africa on to “who knows where.”

I take it all back, we should all be unvaccinated.

You keep telling people to "have a day off" is that your new go to term? You have a day off from chatting shite about how covid is in anyway related to the rise of facism

Don't think I had a breakdown, did I? I simply remarked that I find it more difficult to breathe when my airways are obstructed.

I can think of a couple of things I'd add to that list. But I think I'm going to be more of a dispassionate observer on this thread for a bit.

Yeah you probably should have done that from very early on to be honest.

I have only told you to have a day off. Nobody else. You need it.

You are missing the point about what I posted. It’s not anti-Semitic to compare actions and manoeuvres that have taken place in history to some events of today. If Boss had said “And that will lead to the deaths of millions just like the Holocaust” then you would have a point and I’d agree with you. But he didn’t and therefore I don’t agree with you.

I've seen a few instagram posts where people are saying Omicrom B. Adding a random 'B' and saying "NoCrimbo" I'm sure the 'b' has no relation to the 'b' in Zyclon B but I'll let Skids explain that, he knows more about it than me. Unless he's gone for a break.

No.  I know people who’ve died of it.  Does that cancel out your anecdote?

You told Dab to put his phone away the other day. Similar bollocks.

Who other than you mentioned Anti-Semitism?! I'll stand by my point that anyone relating this pandemic to the actions of some of the vilest cunts in history 80 years ago is a fucking plank. If you can't agree with then fine, it's your opinion. Still means you're a fucking plank

Have a day off mate it will be good for your health. Oh and don't get the vaccine for the good of your health.

I've seen otherwise decent posters collapse in this thread. It's fucking scary how many people you wouldn't think eat crayons actually eat crayons.

Better example would probably be Stalinist or Khmer Rouge or similar oppression, because it had the element of ideological compliance. Nobody asked Jews to comply with anything, they were not offered a choice of either taking a vaccine so Nazi Germany could fight off a dangerous epidemic or being sent to Auschwitz.

And on question how is it selfish not to get vaccinated if the vaccine protects the vaccinated: if everybody chose not to get vaccinated, there would still be regular lockdowns (how is this not restriction of your rights?) and various other restrictive measures, because the numbers of hospitalized would be several times higher than they are (compare graphs of pre and post vaccination waves).

Therefore, people not getting vaccinated are not participating in a collective effort to fight the pandemic (through vaccination), they let others do it. And that is selfish.  There is a national emergency and you demand a free ride four yourself.
