I've noticed in the last few days there have been more 'the NHS let me down' type stories appearing on various media sources. Now that they think they're on the arse end of the pandemic they can get on with privatising the health service fully.

Anything for a few lousy bob!

Between them and new Labour pretty much everything else has been sold off so there is almost nothing left they can offload.

Some people clapped though, so it will all be fine.

The word is overused these days but this particular Tory administration specialise in gasslighting.

Basically they're thick as fuck, I mean genuinely thick as fuck, the likes of Raab and Patel especially, they're stellar overachievers, and if you've ever dealt with anyone like that in a job you'll know they specialise in deflecting blame.

They're constantly terrified of losing what they've got, and rather than excel they get by by undermining others, ganging up with other simpletons and never, ever, accepting the blame. It's an absolute snake pit up there.

It will never be their fault, there will always be a scapegoat. The migrant, the French navy, the lorry drivers union, the BMA, the teachers. It'll never be them.

Everything that has happened in the last 18 months has been someone else's fault.

Brexit shit show-well the eu obvs

Lack of ppe-well everyone is in the same position (remember Hancock-ppe doesnt grow on trees?

Shocking death toll-well that's people breaking the rules

Care home crises-according to johnson that was their own fault.

Kids going hungry-well stop buying scratch cards.

And the fact that a big chunk of the population have bought into their utter bullshit is the biggest joke of all.

Not just the last 18 months, anything bad that has ever happened in the history of the country has never been their fault.

It's Labour, nurses, doctors, social workers, the miners, unions, the dockers, civil servants, firemen, do-gooders, immigrants, the unemployed, the ill, low paid workers, the EU, the woke, the lefties, people who own televisions of the only type commercially available these days etc.

Basically anyone other than the Tories.

I think at least under that evil witch it was pick a side, she wanted to smash the unions and it was either you are with us or against us.

This shower though take responsibility for absolutely.fuck all.

They instigated Brexit, this is what they wanted, they signed the deal, but it's still somehow the instransguence of the eu that we havemt got our own way.

Not really a surprise tbh as johnson wouldmt know the meaning of the word responsibility if it got into bed with him.

They'll just privatise the NHS by stealth and will continue with what they've done through covid. They'll just take more and more services and push them into private companies to deliver. So the NHS will become nothing more than a brand name. An example of this is I currently have my GP and Boots fighting over me to do my annual flu jab. Both are free to me to get, but obviously choosing Boots will take away resources away from the GP.

I'm actually shocked they haven't already created special covid hospitals delivered by one of their mates.

They kind of did with those Nightingale hospitals. Then realised that there was nobody available to staff them.

Not sure if this was ever followed up on.

Yeah, exactly. But I'm sure given some notice their buddies will be able to fly staff in from the Philippines or whatever the latest low cost hot spot it is for health workers.

Aye, or just follow their 'plan' for getting more teachers by proposing to let anybody do it.

Remember the Grayzone article I linked? The huge one. I shortly after quoted part of it :

Quote

And as the CEO of iProove, a biometric ID company and Homeland Security contractor, emphasized to Forbes, “The evolution of vaccine certificates will actually drive the whole field of digital ID in the future. So, therefore, this is not just about Covid, this is about something even bigger.”

https://thegrayzone.com/2021/10/19/health-wealth-digital-passports-surveillance-capitalism/

I just found iProove for the first time outside of that article after seeing this :

All the things you need for a regular passport then.

This is totally normal :

Both iProov and NHS Digital stressed that app users’ biometric data is anonymised and guarded via the best possible security protection, audited by the NHS. IProov insists its customers implement a “privacy firewall” to ensure it has no visibility whatsoever of the identity of the people it verifies, apart from their faces, which is the service it provides.

However, NHS Digital said it had not published its contract with iProov “for security reasons”. It also cited security as a reason for not publishing a data protection impact assessment (DPIA) of the NHS app, the document that explains how individuals’ information will be used, stored and protected.

IProov said it could not disclose how long it holds facial data for. The NHS said the information is “not stored for longer than is necessary under the contract”.

My phone knows where I've been, the route I took, the buildings I went in to and for how long, it knows what I look like, where I took a picture from, what that picture is.

My ISP knows what I've searched for, how long I spend online, what I download

Netflix changes the thumbnails of shows I've watched based on my previous selections and will recommend shows based on the genre's I most watch.

Youtube will continue to lead me down rabbit holes and tailor my trending pages to subjects I've searched

Google will tailor it's adverts based on previous searches and keeps a comprehensive profile of my online habits.

Amazon know what I buy and how often I buy it, they know what I've searched for and will recommend alternative products based on that search, they'll even tell me what other people who have bought an item buy with it.

The DVLA hold my contact details, my picture, what I can drive,  endorsements, convictions and relevant medical information. They hold what I drive, it's tax status, it's registration, it's make/model when I bought or sold it most of which can be passed on to other agencies.

My passport has my photo, my signature, my D.O.B, It's used by the government for customer research, training staff, system testing, data analysis, it'll be used to check my citizenship, criminal activity, and credit references.

The NHS hold my name, age, address, health conditions, treatments I've received, allergies, x-rays, it knows what mental health treatment I receive, information on my lifestyle and when I was admitted/discharged from hospital.

HMRC hold my personal details, marital status, bank account details, they know my income, they know my employment history, my business activities, what property I own and my passport/driving license information.

etc etc

Why exactly is your vaccine status (which the NHS already know), your line in the sand, why is that proof of a tyrannical world and not the million and one other things.

Like in previous discussions people have had, about why conspiracy theorists don't go after the obvious, it just seems like a deflection tactic for their own idiocy.

Vaccine status isn't my line in the sand, it's covid passes and vaccine mandates.

To be fair, despite all this information that is held about us, we don't normally need it to go about our daily lives. When we go the pub, work, football, gigs, trains, busses, theatre or whatever, nobody requires us to prove who we are, what our status is or what our tax code is. Obviously one of the reasons we have 2 covid passports in our NHS apps is because they intend to use them both. I think in a supposed free society, we should have a right to question how and why this information would be needed to go about our lives.

I think if it helps us keep things open in the short term, it is likely a price worth paying. I do think any requirements though should be temporary and reviewed on a regular basis, probably every 3 months.
