Yeah it's strange isn't it? The idea that people who aren't allowed in shops to buy food might starve. I even posted back explaining how it'd probably be extremely rare cases if it happened but I can't be "taken seriously."

It was probably a bit stupid too but it was a response to someone saying that shops shouldn't be forced to allow people to buy food because that could be fascism. But that got skipped past because it's acceptable. Just like saying that people should be forced to drive without a seat belt if they've not had the vaccine a few pages back. No response to that at all, if I'd said something similarly stupid about the other side though guess what would've happened.

I haven't been taken seriously for 6 weeks, doesn't really bother me. Because huge parts of the world have gone a bit crazy incase you didn't notice. They've been hard to take seriously for most of this year too. But it doesn't really matter does it, who gives a fuck about the unclean ones who haven't had the vaccine? Or a hundred other things but ignore it all and say "whataboutism" if it makes it better.

Black Lives Matter if they've had the vaccine. Our heroes saving lives matter if they've had the vaccine. Workers rights only apply if they've had the vaccine. Science matters but only if it's pro-pharma. Protests can be dismissed as right wing if there's too many. Cop brutality can be ignored because the protesters are unclean anyway. Online censorship and big tech working with the government to delete accounts that don't follow the official story is fine too.

Don't worry about that though. All you have to do is say whataboutism and it all magically disappears.

And natural immunity is ignored because it doesn't = $$$ for big pharma. That shows the entire shit show up for what it is instantly.

It’s been a lot longer than that.

In the States we call them Libertarians - I think they make up about 1% of registered voters.

Rand Paul is their best current example, his father ran for President as a Libertarian, so...

Some greens, socialists and anarchists too, but yeah I agree with some of their ideas and Rand Paul has been good in some areas. In others I've completely disagreed with his take on things though.

Positive LFT for my boy over the weekend. He had a total meltdown over the prospect of him missing school. Fucking nerd.

He’s isolated in his room, testing negative now on the LFT’s and we’re all in limbo until tomorrow when the PCR tests come back, hopefully negative. Stressful as fuck.

Poor sod. Hope it’s negative for him mate

He had a bit of a cold last week that came and went. There’s no way of knowing but maybe the LFT picked up on the last of that. He’s had the single vaccine dose that he was allowed. Me and her are double jabbed. I guess we could have had it without knowing. I don’t know.

He’s fine. We’re all fine. That one positive LFT has just thrown up loads of questions.

All the debate about covid and the bits that go with it are beyond me, but what I will say is that in this thread, everyone debates and disagrees, but there doesn’t seem to be insults traded. It’s great. Red Phoenix, despite any ridicule or disagreement from the majority, never loses his rag and goes at people, meaning nobody is going at him in response.

It warms my fucking cockles after some of the arguing across various things generally in recent times. Fair play to you all.

This can only end one way.

I'm not immune to getting wound up and often use sarcasm if I think someone's having a go, which isn't the best way of dealing with it but better than tons of arguing I suppose. It's good that a pandemic thread isn't filled with people flinging shit at each other though, agreed.

Fingers crossed for you all mate.

When my Grandson had it the other week he stayed in his room away from everybody else and luckily nobody else caught it.

Tough for a 9 year old, but then again, with his Playstation and Switch and being fed by catapult, maybe not.

How does this fit the covid pass and mandate narrative? Does the article have it all wrong? If so how? Florida Registers Nation’s Lowest COVID Case Numbers

They're running out of people who can catch COVID (vaccine uptake is around 57% in Florida, mid table overall).

That table you linked to (the actual data not the screen shot), has the all time statistics at

3rd for total cases,

7th for cases per 100,000,

3rd for total deaths,

9th for deaths per 100,000

Recent trends (daily avg for last 7 days) has them

7th for total cases

51st for cases per 100,000

5th for hospitalizations

37th for hospitalizations per 100,000

1st for total deaths

5th for deaths per 100,000

The anti-mask, anti-vaccine mandate 'success' appears to be based on the numbers per 100,000 only, meanwhile catching COVID in Florida at the moment means you're more likely to be hospitalized and die.

But sure, you can see that as a win.

Going into the winter period with a higher case rate than we did last year prior to the big Christmas lockdown, hitting end of December 2020 rates in October can only be a good thing right?

You can only hope the idea was to get as many people infected as possible over the summer/ autumn, hoping that the vaccines would hold the line against deaths/ hospitalisations, and avoid the massive winter/ early spring wave we had last year. Seems risky and stupid as it may lead to more variants, but Johnson wanted his Freedom Day headlines.

Nope, definitely not a win and thanks for listing what you found. The only possible thing that might help I can see from that is natural immunity being proven to work if the cases stay down which then puts pressure on mandates/passes that are ignoring it. Not a good way for more people to find out that it works though if it does.

It's nice for RP that he can participate without being abused.
