How long before we get the first story of vaccines being wasted due to being stored to long in the wrong conditions ?

And how long before we find some of the doses have been diverted to some Russian donor's family. There's no bottle with these cunts, in either corruption or incompetence.

Definitely, thousands of vaccines will go missing and find their way to the likes of Richard Branson, and Nigel Farage.  Not to mention PL clubs, City traders, Lords, Royalty, the whole thing will be disgusting.  And hopefully the press get wind of it and the public get a taste of 'us and them' that they can finally get behind.

Hasn’t this one been developed at their cost so they can sell to whoever they want? I caught the end of an answer on R4 yesterday. Others have been government funded so the aren’t able to profit.

Yeah, the Pfizer one is commercial and free from government ties.

I think Pfizer stumped the cash in return for a guaranteed order and no liability down the line.

At least that is the way I think it works in the States.

Presumably you had eaten all the chocolate novelties, which is why there don't appear to be any on the tree?

And what's with the blue lights?

Oh I scoffed everything by then, the needles were lucky they were still on the tree.

It was Christmas Day, and remarkably 2 hours later I woke up and demolished the buffet too. Lights were white, just the way the photo has come out.

From Saturday if you're a rich businessman you can tell the people enforcing quarantine laws to the majority of the rest of the country to go fucking whistle.

I thought that was the case anyway. Anybody at board level in a company could travel without restriction this end.

Hopefully one is a centre half who’ll be flying to Liverpool on the 1st Jan.

The Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority (MHRA) has paid Genpact UK a tender of £1.5m to develop an AI tool to sift through the high volume of reports of adverse reactions to COVID-19 vaccines.

An MHRA spokesperson told Healthcare IT News: “Based on the available published reports from the Phase I/II trials, we do not currently anticipate any specific safety concerns with COVID-19 vaccines, and we expect the general safety profile to be similar to other types of vaccine.

“Our past experience with other new immunisation campaigns is that we tend to receive around 1 Yellow Card report per 1,000 doses administered and we are preparing our surveillance systems on that basis.

“The purpose of the AI tool we are introducing as part of our Yellow Card system is to help us rapidly evaluate such reports after approval, and not as part of the approval process.

“A COVID-19 vaccine will only be deployed once it has been proven to be safe and effective through robust clinical trials and approved for use by the appropriate licensing authority.

“It is also important to note that a report of a suspected ADR is not proof of a side effect occurring due to the vaccine but a suspicion by the reporter that the vaccine may have caused the side effect.”

What the MHRA does with Yellow Cards

Yellow Card reports are evaluated, alongside other information and evidence on medicine safety as described above (information sources used for pharmacovigilance) to determine whether any regulatory action is required to allow medicines to be used more safely and effectively. If the available evidence is insufficient at the time then the issue would remain under close review as further data becomes available. If a new side effect is identified, information is carefully considered in the context of the overall side effect profile for the medicine, and how it compares with other medicines used to treat the same condition.

Rarely, if the risks are considered to outweigh the benefits, a product may be taken off the market. More usually regulatory action can lead to restrictions in use, reclassification of the medicine, refinement of dose instructions or the introduction of specific warnings of side-effects in product information, which allow medicines to be used more safely and effectively. Any new suspicions of harmful effects are followed (when necessary) with communications and regulatory action to minimise risks and to maximise the benefit to the patients taking the medicine.

The lifecycle of a Yellow Card

All Yellow Card reports received either on paper or electronically are promptly entered onto the MHRA’s ADR database so that they are available for signal detection. Signal detection is the continual review of ADR reports to identify previously unrecognised concerns about medicines, vaccines or blood products, which may warrant further action. Sometimes a signal can comprise a change in the pattern or frequency of ADRs already associated with a medicine; this, too, may warrant further action.

The Yellow Card Scheme’s contribution to detecting these new concerns is immensely valuable. Analysis of data from the Yellow Card Scheme, alongside information from other sources to quantify the risk, leads to a decision on how best to act to protect public health.

Yellow Card Scheme procedures are specifically designed to ensure prompt availability of Yellow Card data for signal detection.

Hey, guess what? Remember a hysterical poster saying he wouldn’t get the vaccine as it wasn’t covered by the Vaccine Damages Act (gives compensation if you have a serious injury due to the vaccine) - this was before the vaccine was approved so it couldn’t be covered because it didn’t exist.

Well, the government have announced it WILL be covered by the Act.  So, another of his conspiracy bollocks falls away.  I think he’s 0-(everything) so far.

So, if you live in Wales, you are not allowed a drink, or to eat out after 6pm, but you are allowed to travel over the border (apart from to tier 3 areas), where you can eat drink and be merry. Cases in North Wales are lower than in Liverpool at the moment, but South Wales is struggling, yet they can mosey on over the border.

As to all the sarcastic comments, I wasn't talking about how many cases were in Wales, more the absurdity of the random regulation generator.

What are the cases per 100k in North Wales at the moment?

I was misinformed, it's 196 apparently, so double that of Liverpool.

EDIT. Oh no, that's Wrexham, the whole North Wales average will be less than that as Gwynedd and Anglesey are low.

Marvellous. Tested positive this morning having tested negative all week. Now have to go for the full drive-through test.

Shit mate. If you've tested positive why do you have to test again? What are your symptoms? Shite timing although it could be worse if it was a week later. Get well soon fella
