Aye, at Sturgeon's press conference the other week, she said that current case figures were estimated to be about 15% of the daily figures at the height of it, so it fits with the 100K unrecorded back then. Today's deaths are skewed due to the weekend catch-up, but yeah, it's grim. Especially when you look back 3-4 weeks when those who died probably first got infected- there were about 5-6K cases per day then, it's tripled since to over 15K.

It has not changed at all in terms of strength or mortality rate -- the "accounting" around it has been adjusted.

No, doesn't look like it. Neither the 'it's going to weaken and fizzle out' or the 'everyone's already had it' hypotheses look to be correct.

All we need is some Tory rebels.

Of course he does. Not at all predictable.

Im sure Boris would if he was in opposition. Its the fucking posturing that pisses me off. Imagine being Starmer or Davey- the reality is, you totally do not want the bloody job of PM for about 3 years really. Not in this mess. Far easier to throw shit from the galleries.

Totally agree. Its just so transparent that they would all be utterly useless

Don't think so, mate

Granted any Govt would find it difficult but Germany/NZ/SKorea seem to be doing ok so it's not an impossible task.

Johnson's Govt are so shit as the only criteria for being a Minister is supporting Brexit. All the semi decent ones have left or been booted out.

Johnson's a Columnist who has been sacked from several jobs for blatant lies and is renowned for laziness and ineptitude

What odds will anyone give me on us running out of PPE again despite having months to stockpile?

Didn't the UK have some order with Turkey in April/May? It sat at the airport in Turkey for about two months, presumably while the UK government quibbled over £25, then finally arrived and turned out to be a few boxes of Beef Hula Hoops.
