I’m surprised the human race managed to survive so long.  I mean all those diseases, dirty water not to mention war and famines when we’re all gonna die because of wearing a mask and having to stay in watching telly for 6 months.

If we turn back the clock and accept average lifespan of about 25 with the vast majority of kids dying before they get to 5  then wearing masks does seem to be somewhat pointless.

Haven't pandemics been the number 1 threat on risk registers for quite a while now? Sure I remember reading that somewhere

Yup, major world focus.

The UK was genuinely ahead of the curve and ranked 2nd globally for preparedness, exporting a lot of our expertise abroad.

We ignored the vast majority of it during this pandemic.

1st on the list you ask?

America...

Weird that Cygnus highlighted all the areas we were weak in - lack of ventilators etc - and yet we were still ranked highly overall in terms of preparedness, AND THEN still went on to perform abysmally, while the likes fucking Kerala etc played an absolute blinder.

As Rentoul said, though, I really hope there isn't an inquiry when all is said and done as then people in power might be held accountable, and who wants that?

They started 'Operation Blame Every Other Cunt' on day 1. Some of the cunts should be in fucking prison over all this especially the pockets being lined but no... the cunts wont get touched.

The best we can hope for is some good work from Anonymous.

Surely such an infinitesimal amount of reinfections tells us virtually nothing? Out of millions and millions of people, there are a handful of people reinfected? Is that not just a statistical anomaly?

It's an inevitability that there will be exceedingly rare cases of reinfection. It means absolutely nothing for herd immunity; vaccines do not 100% prevent infection either.

The fact there's been virtually no cases of reinfection means that he is speaking beyond the known facts.

Not looking forward to another six months stuck at home. Mrs Kurtz starts her full time university course on Monday and kids are back at school so it will just be me and the two beagles from 9- 3 most days. I’ve worked in offices amongst people for 30 years now so this isolation is very surreal. I miss the conversation, the laughs, the football rivarly, even the commute where I could read in piece for 2 hours each day. Really think I am going to struggle with this.  I know there’s a much bigger picture etc but I am not looking forward to this at all.

Thanks for posting two statements that are entirely consistent with each other.

Nice try.

Quite a few things have been posted over the last few pages that you have conveniently ignored. Again.

Thanks for continually proving me right about you.
