What i can't understand is the allowing of amateur sports to still take place?! Lockdown, don't go near people, wear masks, virus is spreading. Yet goals, powerleague and grass roots football teams are still playing every weekend. 

 

22 random people, not from the same household, many untested are sweating, breathing, and all over each other for 90 minutes but no no that's not helping spread the virus. Meeting your friends in groups of 7 is definitely making it worse.

 

The fucking logic this government applies is stupid. Just lock it down again properly, have they not learnt anything from the first time around. Complete idiots running this shit show.

Its far from infinitesimal.  I do agree that physically fitter people will manage the virus better but that doesn't mean they can't still contract and pass it on does it?

For this reason, my kids will be going to nursery and will be playing sports. Talking to many other parents, they are so relived that their children can benefit from team sports again, and from generally socialising and developing.

Its not just the over 80's that are high risk. What about people younger with diseases or conditions who are high risk? Are they supposed to just crack on knowing that there is a fair chance they might well catch Covid and it could be the end of their time on earth? We have people on this very forum, highly thought of posters who are terrified of leaving the house because catching this virus could be fatal.

Im not an anti-vaxxer. What i am though, is a cynical bastard, and all these top 'scientists' are all in league. The ones that aren't and try to keep subjective are the ones who either get ignored, smeared or shut down.

I keep seeing abuse being hurled at those who don't want lockdowns/more restrictions or are questioning things.

 

But I see very little from those hurling the abuse in the way of willingness to discuss how we could actually learn to live with this thing and protect the vulnerable/old and at the same time not destroy economies/job prospects and all the other hugely negative and wide ranging issues lockdowns and restrictions cause.
