I'm in a few barbell training groups on Facebook which are largely populated by Americans - a lot of them seem to think the Coronavirus is some kind of communist disease. They also think that most of Europe is run by communists. They talk about communism a lot. It's weird. They're weird.

Any criticism they get, over anything from airports still being open to PPE, they just say they are following the science.

The main problem with that being we don’t know who all the members of SAGE are who are advising them and we don’t get to see the advice they are given. I’m also not clear on how people are appointed to SAGE in the first place.

Pretty sure SAGE is Dominic Cummings, Toby Young and Jordan Peterson.

One thing I don't understand about the UK, everybody is talking about what should have been done in January,  February, March, PPE this PPE that, it is April 19 today and apparently, there are still thousands of people arriving in Britain with little or no monitoring, none of them tested, mandated to self-isolate. Is this true?

What is the point of lockdown if it is? And why is nobody talking about this? It's not in the what should have been done in hindsight category, it is happening today.

Maybe they are Turkish couriers, bringing PPE one way, then going back with walls sausages, danish bacon, Heinz beans and hp sauce.

The science says it's not that important. Science.

Well you can say it makes some sense if you have virus going through 15-20 percent of the population and if you are not tracing contacts or testing beyond people in serious condition. The problem is, do you know where exactly the point is when it becomes a serious consideration? Because, once the numbers drop and you can locate and isolate the main hotspots and lines of infection, allowing people into the country is no longer feasible, you just create new lines to trace and new potential hotspots.

Psychologically, it must feel ridiculous to the people staying at home and observing social distancing, so for this reason alone you should probably at least closely monitor international travel.

Obviously all inbound flights should be stopped except for those carrying goods and essential personnel.

But Matt Hancock will just say "science".

The Skwawkbox have posted a video on Facebook of Johnson giving a speech in early February, essentially saying "ignore the consensus of medical opinion - we think that's wrong - someone has to stand up for the Free Market and that someone is us".

It's basically the smoking gun that proves that the Government prioritised profit over people, with the result that thousands are now dying who could otherwise have been saved.

Seen something on Twitter yesterday about a couple of vets from some organisation saying we have to get things back to normal.

Just had a look on Twitter now and one of them has been on the news giving his opinion with a viral immunologist giving hers. Look at the way he smirks and shakes his head. He’s a vet for fucks sake! Why is he even given airtime.

The Sunday Times are going to absolutely hammer Boris Johnson tomorrow apparently.

You know its bad when that Tory mouthpiece is turning on the government.

I've never read the Sunday Times. There's a first for everything.
