Neither of which explains viciously calling somebody a cunt. And not in the TLW way of calling somebody a cunt.

No, but it does answer the ‘why do you hate...’ question. She is also a cunt though. Her ‘white people love playing divide and rule’ comment was particularly cunty. Her implication that black mums love their kids more than white mums, too. Her comments about white Finnish people with blonde hair and blue eyes being unsuitable to work at a local hospital because they’d probably never seen a black person before. Along with her criticism of people sending their kids private schools and then sending her kid to a private school. The hypocrite.

Despite all those things she is fair game for having the piss taken out of her. You are not doing any black, female, socialist, or community leaders any favours by trying to stop legitimate piss taking/ridicule.

It's not legimate though is it?

What policies do you disagree with, what motions she has presented do you disagree with, what stance has she taken that irks you so?

If you can point those out I'd say you had a point, but like dulled pencil you're fucking pointless.

None, she's ridiculed because she's an easy target for the rags, and if that's dog whistling because of the above identifiers then is predjudicial and not based on the excellent community work, which I see at close quarters on a daily basis, that she does.

Why? Because she’s thick as pig shit and totally incompetent and incoherent when it comes to politics.

She is not 'thick as pigshit' getting in to Cambridge is the easy part, staying there and graduating is the difficult part. Doing this with the lack of advantage she had is, quite frankly, laudable, especially at the time she attended.

Because she doesn't speak in soundbites she's incoherant? Fucking hell! We criticise when they say something and mean nothing and criticise when they mean something but can't fully articulate it, I assume you dislike Rayner as well?

She has, and does, do excellent constituncy work and to discredit her based on a couple of leaped upon gaffs is so small time.

Anyway, I will no longer engage as this is not about a person, more about the idea of a person you've been force fed through the media, especially the newstatesman article you've just copied and pasted from. Enjoy the sniping.

I've no idea who this woman is, or know anything about her.

But if she has indeed said/done the above, then she most definitely is a cunt.

As would be any person saying the same shit, be they man/woman, black/white, etc.

Firstly, I can assure you it isn’t that easy. But it doesn’t mean you’re not incompetent and completely unsuited to her job. You might think her History degree is proof of her intellect, I don’t. No more than I think Johnson is a genius or Osborne’s degree qualified him to be chancellor.

No, it’s her lack of coherence, not her lack of sound bites, that make me think she is coherent. I can provide examples if you’d like?

Unlike Diane Abbott, I’ve never spoken to Rayner. I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make, though.

Except, of course, I’m not discrediting her due to a ‘couple of leaped on gaffs’, I’m talking about her lack of ability to do the job coupled with her obvious hypocrisy and divisiveness when it comes to white people. You can try to handwave it away, but I think it’s a solid reason for disliking her.

Ah, there it is. It’s just what I’ve swallowed from the media. Good stuff.

You are spectacularly missing the point

It doesnt matter what good she does, she is a politician in public office and therefore fair game for piss taking and ridicule, just like any other politician,  when she does something to warrant it, which she did. You want her to be different, shes not shes the same as any other politician/public figure. Just because you like or admire her doesnt make her immune.

I'm not defending stuff she's said, but she isn't the same as any other politician/public figure. The level of scrutiny and vitriol she receives is completely different to the vast majority of other politicians/public figures.

She's a fucking abysmal choice to be in a shadow cabinet, in my opinion. She sticks her foot in it too much, saying things that are either unacceptable or extremely likely to be deemed unacceptable. But stuff like the error with the figures she made led to her being ridiculed relentlessly by the media which in turn translated to public opinion, despite the fact the majority of politicians have made similar gaffs.

Labour really should just keep her out of the public eye though. She's by all accounts very good at constituency work.

I'm concentrating on the piss taking. The stuff she did with the figures was 100%, in my opinion, worthy of piss taking, it was so bad its entered into folklore. Not because of her colour, looks or politics but what came out of her mouth.

She then compounded the problem by not handling the aftermath of it well, she could have dealt with far it better, whether she was badly advised or not.

I dont doubt shes a good constuency MP nor am I saying shes stupid just that she deserves the same treatment as any other high profile MP.

You got in also? St Edmunds, PPE, 2004. Fuck it must be easy, I'll rethink the whole thing.

Please don't, I can copy and paste my own Daily Mail think pieces.

I think it's obvious, don't be obtuse.

With most things context is key and you've not given any, not the copy and paste shite, but historical, cultural and situational context which surrounds these remarks.

Ah, there it is. It’s just what I’ve swallowed from the media. Good stuff.

She recieves a special level of vitriol because she's a convienant and easy target.

And with that I bid adieu as as I really can not be bothered with a pointless back and forth.

Scream in to the void if you wish.

As it would be with anyone else. The difference is that for her it was in the press for a month, and is still occasionally in the press as a joke now. This isn't the same for other ministers, of any party.

There simply wasn't much of an aftermath to handle for anyone else.

Michael Gove botched the figures several times during an interview in the run up to the 2017 election. It no longer is in the public conscious.

Phillip Hammond did the same.

Dawn Butler did last year.

Countless other examples, but the "minister that fucked up the numbers" example is always Diane Abbott. Because she got crucified and the others didn't.

This whole "Society won't return to normal for 6 months"

Firstly, where are they getting 6 months from. For this to run through the population at relatively managegable levels will take longer than 6 months.

Secondly, if that 6 months is correct, I find it mad that my 21 month old won't be able to socialise with children of his own age for half a year. That's such a bizarre scenario.

I don't know, I just don't buy the whole "oops a daisy our maths was wrong" thing they came out with.  I think they knew.

I've said for a few weeks in this country we were 100% ploughing into herd immunity, being the only country to talk about it. Then we were widely slaughtered and ridiculed by international scientists about the policy, so they knew for their "optics" they had to back away. So we carried on regardless and just stopped calling it herd immunity. Listen to any press conference each day and they continually mention about it was always their plan to put the right measures in at the right time. The plan has never changed. The imposition of restrictions was always planned to happen, but happen when enough of us have it so it runs through the population through the spring and summer.

The only thing that has fucked that plan is how long people are spending in hospital, so while we had the chance early on to buy more ventilators, PPE  and prepare these temporary hospitals, we thought we didn't need them, so the government sat on their hands patting each other on the backs on how much money they'd saved. That worked well. But I think you're 100% correct, the government are aiming for just about everyone to catch this.

I think the confusion is because his name is William Thomas Pike : https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.03.25.20041475v1.article-info

Or that from searching around you can find Tom Pike, William Thomas Pike, Professor William Pike or Dr Tom Pike.

He needs to get this sorted out I think and make sure people use the right name. I'm voting for Professor Thomas Dr.

Almost as if someone advised him not to tell them his name.

EDIT, BEATEN TO IT

A bit of a breakthrough on helping systems hopefully

These CPAP machines are used to aid patients with Sleep APNOE. I was put on one during my hospital stay due to my breathing difficulties, I've been using one at home for quite a while now and they certainly help during the night hours.

I have this one. (obviously you attach a tube to it and you have a mask at the other end.)

Pack PRISMA SMART + Humidificateur PRISMA AQUA
