Well, we have never known at any stage the number of people who have actually been infected by the virus. We don't know the number of people who have been exposed to it and not been infected. So far, pretty much all numbers are guessing games. IN South Korea where most testing has happened, they have the lowest death rate.

But not THAT low. They tested over 300,000 people, 9137 confirmed cases to date, 126 deaths. This would mean that they had a major outbreak in January or early February which went undetected and that thousands of people died without anybody realizing there is an epidemic going on.

Your assumption is not scientific.

Was thinking that myself, I bet he didn't have to wait 4 days for the result?

It’s important to remember that Johnson didn’t have a test the other week though.

Definitely the sort of selfless, honourable man who would turn it down.

Firstly they have a proper lockdown in place.

Add to that anyone testing positive, they are contact tracing every potential person the infected person have been in contact with.

The key with getting on top of this virus is grabbing it by the fucking balls.

We haven't kept pace with Italy though. This could be due to the make-up and demographics of their country.

I’m assuming it’s waaaaaaay to simplistic that our climate makes us more resilient to flu & cold based viruses? A quick look at worldmeters.info shows Northern European & Scandinavian countries reporting less deaths than warmer countries.

My assumption seems logical to me, because everybody keeps saying that the main danger from this pandemic is, apart from this being an unknown new virus, that there is no cure and no vaccine, rhe strain on the health care system. Which comes form the number / percentage of people requiting hospitalization and ventilation. This cannot go unnoticed if there is a bug running through half the population.

Why would the Chinese first attempt the cover-up while they hoped to contain it an early stage, then move to total quarantine of 16 million people and severe restrictions on others, with huge economic and potentially lethal political consequences, if this was something that can go through large percentahge of the population undetected?

What is the explanation for all the dead Italians and Spaniards?

That has no relevance to the "half of population already had it" theory.

There are only 3.5m tests, surely they should be used on front line NHS staff rather than be made available to hoarding cunts on the internet.

Definitely for NHS staff first.

I'm guessing that the manufacturing process doesn't involve a finite material so they should be able to get more on the market fairly swiftly.
