I read that before.

They should be telling their owners to bail them out, and if they don't want to do that in order to protect jobs and the industry we'll buy your planes and your slots and nationalise them.

There was me thinking it was Mook who shoved things up the arse.

A death is a death. Kind of easy to compare causes of death, which is why extensive statistics on causes of death are produced.

Comparing only the figures is not very analytical and of little substance.

I’m just intrigued by this “herd immunity” that the UK largely abandoned. Do you think they should’ve stuck with it @Strontium Dog™? Directing the question your way because of your degree in Ecology.

How can you abandon something you never pursued in the first place? Directing the question your way, in the vain hope you may stop strawmanning all over this thread like Worzel Gummidge frotting Aunt Sally.

But it's kind of crucial to my prediction that one won't kill more than the other. QED.

Did you not predict that in order to downplay the seriousness of Covid-19?  Like I say I don't know the history of the debate so not sure why you'd make that prediction.

Again avoiding a simple question.

I don't think I've tried to downplay the seriousness of anything. I just don't agree with those talking about hundreds of thousands of deaths in this country.

But does little in fact come from my mates bird who is a paediatric nurse in a Brisbane hozzy. She is from Redcar, but generally knows what she is doing.

I saw it word for word from a mate's mate who worked in the Dutch health service last week.

It's also allegedly from a London NHS hospital amongst others.

It's turning pandemic.

I also have seen it word for word numerous times on Facebook and WhatsApp. From specialists all over the world apparently. It’s all been debunked plenty of times.

You're playing stupid semantic games. Let me help you out:

it's kind of crucial to my prediction that one [covid] won't kill more than the other [flu]

Yes, but surely you understand that one (covid) has massively more restrictions on movement, huge ramping up of health facilities, etc. than the other (flu) so that your prediction is completely worthless?

And indeed already proven so, by the extraordinary lengths that governments around the world have gone to to try and contain the thing?

Don't blame me, it's not me who keeps making snide jibes about a throwaway comment I made weeks ago, thus necessitating me to keep talking about it, is it.

And as of today the big question is: have governments contained the thing? Oxford University researchers think up to half the country may have had the virus already.

Well, perhaps if you just once replied to said poster "that was a throwaway comment, which really doesn't make much sense considering the difference in situations" then they would stop bringing it up.

Or you could keep doubling down on it, I suppose, if you want to continue looking stupid.

Governments obviously haven't contained the thing, especially the ones who acted slowly and erratically.  That is a very easy answer to the big question.

I might make a throwaway comment about you going balls deep on people’s pet dogs.

Nothing to see here just a throwaway comment about a man who shags dogs.

Poor Rex. Dry bummed to death on New Brighton beach. Down by the lighthouse. Just for wagging its tail.

It’s hard just to make it a throwaway comment though.

It wasn’t a throwaway comment that’s why. He is only saying it now because it’s convenient.
